great video. Liked that one for 3000 wow. Also really liked your previous one siri condos. New condos with pool and gym in quiet areas for 1.6m and under nuts!!! Definitely your channel deserves lots more views chief theres no messing about and you are good at showing us this stuff. 👍
I never thought another area in Chiang Mai would be contender but wow! I'm really vibing with Lamphun. So peaceful, close to the city and not overrun with farangs, Thanks for showing us around!
Lamphun has a lot of accommodation - very local town , if you like quiet - I think it’s Gold mate 👌 - I think that 3000B a month place will have the Falangs queuing up WW 👍 - and that burger 🍔 🤩 - luv your work mate 👌👋✔️👍🙏
Cool Wayne Thanks! Yeah I remember the Siri Condo you showed us before was excellent! That one today for 3k a month is a steal too. You know Wayne....You should move to Lamphun! You know you love it & will likely find a real nice down to earth girl😉 Also you could become the preeminent Lamphun blogger! Chiang Mai has like 555,000 you tubers already its all been done to death. You could be the Lamphun Walk About Wayne 😉 Thanks for the video!
Cheers mate. Yes very good deal for 3k. Lamphun is the place I really like. I will take my time deciding, but I'll end up somewhere. Most of the vloggers in Chiang Mai are just passing through, but Yes, I'll be doing less and less CM city vlogs in 2025. Thanks Mike 👍
14:03 driving standards seem a bit scary 😜 Can only imagine what it's like in towns/cities. Great wee array of properties! Thanks for the info and inspiration.
Thanks for sharing Wayne, that first one at 3000 a month, pretty good and clean too. Bit small for some maybe but if its just a place to chill an sleep then its perfect. Wouldn't bother with the rest Lampoon is a nice spot an close enough to Chiangmai if you were seriously looking at moving there. Stay safe bro stay safe 😊
The first place pretty basic but looked clean and 3k a month a steal really, unbelievable crazy cheap price and if you are serious about a move there pretty much a big miss if you don't. The downside for you if there is one is your love for Chiang Mai and the regularity with which you like to create content there. Thats a bit of a return trip each time to vlog there. The 'boat' can set sail without me for sure, bad vibes not only about the place but also maybe the class of tenant there. Might be cheap but likely to be robbed or mugged even and probably a health hazard too 😂🤣😂 The 3rd place at 650 baht a day equates to 18K a month too expensive long term. Great town is Lamphun. Top video mate. Cheers Wayne. 🤩
Nice pad for 3k a month mate. Yeah Phaya Inn wouldn't be any good for living, but nice for a night or 2. The Boat was an experience mate, don't think I'll be going back to that place. Cheers Steven.
It's not something on my list mate. To much hassle normally. By my experience, I would say it's mediocre WIFI mate. Enough for doing light tasks and watching RUclips. It probably gets bogged down in the evenings too.
The only problem with that 1st one is that the bed look like it has a typical unsprung solid Thai mattress. I'd need to add a very thick topper to get any sleep at all. But that is standard in condos aimed at Thai ppl, so not unexpected.
Wayne do something for yourself. A good consideration, I lived in Srimongkol Mansions for 10 years long term is on 3rd floor and fourth floor, many people consider this place to be the best all round in Chiang Mai. best accomodation and value, bit of a country feel locationwith massive balcony's on the fourth floor looking onto the mountains, or towards town and a friendly feeling, and you don't have to isolated your self in somewhere like Lamphun where I think the pollution is worse than Chiang Mai because of the mining they do there, or is it Lampang? Ive forgotten, lol
I know Siri Mongkol, my mate stayed there. Not a bad place but not for me buddy. It’s right in tourist land . Lots of better places . Nice place though and it’s normally always full. Not a place I would want to live though mate. Thanks
@WalkAboutWayne well it's near Tanin Market, and JJ Market. I had 5 motorbikes and a pick up truck in underground parking there, the only thing didn't have a swimming pool but there's one in the next street. Not so many tourist in that area, especially in low season.
That “ troll burger“ looks pretty good! Man bro, you find all the good spots! Right at the foot of the bridge they definitely should have a burger called the troll burger! Lol
That Boat place looks scary!! Food for thought, though about Lamphun. Close to Chiang Mai is good, and I don't like the tourist crush in high season, and if I wanted to be surrounded by drunken Farangs, I could stay here in Australia 😅 I wonder whether renting a house is an option? Also: did you find out if they have Grab there? Thanks mate! 🙏
🤣 Yeah, I dont thing the Boat is for me. Chiang Mai is crazy busy now, traffic everywhere. Yes, I did a house in Lamphun. Hopefully do more in the future. Thanks
I love Lamphun. Great choice if you decide to stay there for while. That’s what’s nice about Thailand. If you get the itch to pick up and move to another town it’s cheap and easy enough to rent for awhile. Go for it. You can always go back to Chiang Mai. Lamphun content would be awesome.
Wayne 1ST one is good value for the money. I would get sea sick in the ship/boat 🤐🤕 Had a chuckle when you spoke about getting a partner and on Cue a couple of pretty ladies pop into view, i thought he got the girls to help out. one had a great smile for Bobby Dazzler.😁🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne well, that's what it's saying when I went on Google Maps, although from your vlog it seems a little too small to have rooms. I should also point out that I went to have a look at the Siri Condo vlog after, and forgot that I'd watched it, so you're not alone!! 😀
Could you explain the water cost, for example you listed the first condo was 100 baht, is that per month, weekly or ?. Still cant find that shirt in the states, lol.

As a single 67 y/o male the first one was absolutely something I would do, yes it has it's downsides but over all well worth it, in my opinion. after all what do you really need.
Plastic mattress in the first one, I'll pass on them, slip and sliding all night plus roasting hot in the summer months. Easy to wipe up stains though 😂
Yes, but that don’t normally make a difference. Just to cover any damage. It might have a contract though , that’s one thing I didn’t ask. My guess is is no or really low 3 month .
Another good one, mate. Best of luck on (eventually) finding a new happy home! :) Note: apartments are not condos. You might want to be a bit more clear about making this distinction, since there are some significant/important differences between apartments & condos, such as short-term vs long-term rentals, deposit requirements & electric & water utility costs. Some of these differences can seriously bite you in the a**, too. The big one is the rental term. Short-term rentals in Thailand require a license, which hotels & apartment buildings will have, while most/many condo owners do not. If you rent a condo unit on a month-to-month basis (say, via AirBnB), and the owner does not have the proper license, the condo building management may lock you out & give you the boot. The other big one is the cost of electric. Condo units usually require you to pay the bill directly to the utility company, which means you only pay the government rate (which is currently between 4-5 THB/unit). With an apartment, your bill may come from the building and may include a premium (ex. 7 THB/unit for the first apatment you looked at in this vlog). This premium can add up quickly, if you use aircon frequently. Cheers, mate!
Cheers mate! I call it a condo or room buddy. Up to you what you wanna call it. All pretty simple stuff with the bills also mate. None of it is rocket science. Rooms like this all work pretty much the same. Up to whoever’s interested to look into stuff more. 👍 All the info was in the vlog aswell mate. Electric payed to building. All pretty easy stuff. I remember the new condos from another video. I think they were at a great price beside the hospital. Probably your best place to live. ❤
Yes, the Siri condos are really nice 👌
Mate 😂😂 The Boat looked like a prison block from the outside.
Man it was rough. One of the roughest I've seen from the outside. Inside didn't look to bad. Wish I could have seen a room.

HMP Portsmouth!
Indeed! I wouldn't🤣 live there if they paid me monthly!

No, not for a condo usually. Like May mentioned, you can get a condo on any visa.
