For being hobbyist this way out of my price range, I am sticking to pipe clamps

Completely agree! But I think it’s important to know what’s out there, that’s what I needed before I was able to make the big move.

There are smaller racks that aren't automated. This one is just the big mack daddy. Well, there's bigger ones than that. :)
I think the entry level model is around $4k

My shop is a little too small to use a proper a proper clamp rack.
So I actually use the pipe clamp racks from a little southern shop. I think it's Bidwell iron?
Their thing lets me make a smallish, modular glue rack that uses pipe clamps.

Omg that was even more fun than the Short you directed me from. Thanks for making and sharing these videos👍 btw, I think I laughed about 10 times watching this, and then my girlfriend started asking questions. She normally doesn’t😂

If you're doing that many glue-ups with the regular pipe clamps, i wouldn't be using a tiny glue bottle and tiny paint brush. Get yourself a tray, or even a bucket of glue, and a paint roller. I've glued up 4x8 panels of particle board and plastic laminate this way, and put them into a hydraulic veneer press.
You have to at least use a glue roller, with an on-board hopper of glue.
    Put that brush away.

I was thinking the same thing AND I would have used longer pipes and clamped multiple panels in series with one set. Just need to make sure that you skip glue or tape off in between panel sets.

This does make me ponder how I could set up a station with 5 sets of pipe clamps permanently mounted-similar to one segment of the Taylor carrier….🤔
Fun video, looks like your team has a great place to work.

I have the bigger brother to this one and it kicks butt! Mine is only 8' wide but has 27 sections. You can glue constantly, what a dream when gluing up an entire huge house worth of cabinet stuff! Didnt have the plate spreader though, that would have made it faster for sure! Thanks for the vid, the youngster showed you😂

I totally agree about the pipe clamps compared to say parallel or f clamp's although never had parallel clamps so just going off what u said. I would love to have one the panel glue machines even 1/4 the size would do me but can't afford that. Although when a bought pipe a bought huge legnth glue up mulitiples at once. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍

I mostly bypass making cutting boards because the price vs time usually isnt worth it. So i typically only do them be request around Christmas but this machine would make them worth doing lol. Are you selling mostly direct to consumer or b2b?
Also who makes that brush sander I keep seeing in shorts?

15 bucks for 3/4" Bessy clamps? I have recently looked to expand my collection and have a hard time finding them for less than 25.

Great machine if you want to build 10 foot tables. But I'm not in that type of wood shop! Look at the mess on the floor. That's a waste of glue and cleanup time. Machine 0 Pipe clamps 100

I hope you were being facetious when you said you threw your pipe clamps in the trash. Most people can't afford a $45k panel gluing rig, let alone a full set of pipe clamps. Hopefully you actually sold them cheap to someone who could use them, or better yet - donated them to a school or maker space.

You know what I would love as content way too much... if you would compare low cost tool building to machines. Like this video just in a broader scale. Or a series. Like what can a Person do with their handheld tools what a machine cant and the opposite.
