Honestly, I say go for it! I got this one for work and everyone seems to like it 🤪 I am also not a really big, tactile guy, but these do feel very close to linears and are still very smooth all the way down albeit with a bump
That's a PC plate. FR4 is basically the same material as a PCB. Maybe you confused it with POM which can look similar. Eventually you will be able to swap the side accents for more personalization.
