- I want to take you folks to a few of my gigs, I assure you I'll get better at doing this type of stuff as we go along. That was heaps harder than I thought to record as you're working but hey early days I'll get some better gear and keep improving it.
Started rough when I helped a mate move and left the trolley in his car...
Any comments ideas or content thoughts hit me up I'm always keen to hear from you folk.
I actually recorded a bunch at the recent Blues festival but the GoPro didn't work (AGAIN!) on the performances so scrapped that lot.. steep learning curve atm✌️
Cheers
Jase
Thanks for the insight & peak behind the scenes, do you perform a full set of original material or throw in some covers ? .. ps lovin' 1 Cent Hat since you first posted the song, been jamming along to improve my blues picking !
Hi no problem, thanks fro tuning in. I do 3x45mins sets and maybe 5-6 covers in that lot. I think this year I'm going to go all originals I'm in the process of polishing some new tunes and will add them in as I go.
Well that's cool to think someone's jamming to my tune. It's on streaming sites as well that particular version.
Hi Jase...like you said - perspective.
The patrons are there to be social with each other, eat, drink...music helps fill the atmosphere, there's that feeling of "people are home and you're welcome". It creates a welcoming and a distraction for those whom maybe quieter than other's.
Very unusual if majority are women. haha!
Did you play for 3 hours straight?
Cheers.
Roughly 3x 45min sets in 3 hrs. It works out to two breaks and I end and start on time so the maths don't work but it works anyway haha
Doing solo gigs is tough as, at least you have a great sound and not regurgitating all those overplayed covers on alot of soloists iPads !! Good luck man
This Bloke! how are you man?.. I appreciate the support brother from a guy who knows exactly what it's like.. hope you're still gigging.
I remember checking you guys out.. shit be a few years back now... at the 3 Brothers Arms in Maccy.. first dude I ever heard apart from me playing Fred Macdowell👍
@@JasonMckellMusicwow, cheers mate, to be straight up,I have had a few ups and downs but am trying to get back at it again
