It blows my mind how the nfl talking heads are talking about Fields as he's only looked better and better through 3 weeks. He's standing in the pocket and making reads, he's playing with confidence and consistency, and the team is rallying around him. The Steelers have 1 solid wr and he's STILL making enough plays to secure wins. Lamar is 1-2 and we all treat him like a god. Smh

He’s been solid. Steelers defense has been all world thus far. All the offense has to do is get to 20 at the most.

Lamar has TRASH WRs and a ONE dimensional RB. His TE is so slow it's like seeing somebody running in MUD. Plus Lamar Defense is getting trounced. So he has to play like a God just to Win. Yet this is what Blows your mind.

@@robertmoss4210 That’s true. But the reason why people are still skeptical because we haven’t seen that big play ability from Fields in a full game yet that he displayed in Chicago. He’s been efficient. Game manager ish and I don’t think that’s a bad thing especially if the defense is playing as good as they are.

Pittsburgh Steeler football defense slash offense. They can get to the playoffs like that. Fields has to up his passing game. They can do that off the run with the two beast they have in the back field. Coaching not wanting fields to open up just yet, looks alike like Ohio football.

Justin helped the offensive line a LOT in Chicago because he took a defender out of the box to spy on him the entire game. He was doing that and still got 60 yards rushing a game himself and the rushing game got 100 to 120 yards a game. Justin also threw to only practice level players until DJ Moore got there his last year. He then had a 1200 yard season the best of DJ's career. Caleb has a top 3 WR unit in Chicago right now. They just only have a bottom 3 offensive line that will hold them back but might crush Caleb this year.

IMO: I think Justin Fields was ALWAYS a good quarterback ....... even in Chicago. A quarterback is only as good as his offensive line. Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes would not win with that offensive line in Chicago. Now in Pittsburgh, Fields is behind a better offensive line that allows him to stay in pocket more and make better decisions ......... along with better coaching. And now, Caleb Williams is struggling with that terrible Chicago Bears offensive line!!!

DJ Moore reached career highs with Fields in just one season. I was hoping they would keep Fields and use those picks to improve that offense. They gave Caleb the weapons they could have given Fields.

COMPETENT ORGANIZATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE MATTER! Justin has confidence now and the offense is being simplified so that he can grow within it. You are seeing him be a part of the teams overall success. There is a PLAN. He doesn’t look like he feels the pressure not to make a mistake. The Steelers get “it” as an organization. He never had this in Chicago. The empirical evidence is there in the winning and the improvement.

  • @TrayMackfromTSP

The way they’re speaking about Justin is insulting. They’re blaming him for all the issues in Chicago. The thing that has changed is he’s now with a winning organization, competent offensive play calling and a great head coach. That wasn’t nearly the situation in Chicago. He shown he has the skill set to be a really good qb. I’m happy for him that the narrative is changing.

Here's my take. Tomlin knew day 1 that Fields was the future franchise qb. The only reason Wilson is there is for the veteran leadership to show Fields how it's done and build his confidence from all the craziness of Chicago's changing staff.
He looks more like a qb now....not just athletic. If that makes sense. Justin Fields is in a similar situation that Aaron Rodgers was learning from Brett Farve.....and can be as successful under Smiths Offense easily.
Go back to Big Ben in the beginning. Bill Cowher taught and coached him to "manage" games until he was comfortable and ready to.lead.
I see the exact same thing now.

This is who Justin feels is. This was his abilities in Chicago- he just was dealt a very bad hand by being thrown into a starting position without any real coaching there. I think the kid was traumatized. You try standing there and have 300 lb humans coming after you ready to knock your lights out and see how you would respond without sufficient coaching. He's a super bright, probably gifted young man, who needs to fully understand what he's doing before he's thrown out in situations where he has to make split-second decisions. The Steelers have given him what he needs and he will only get better.

my fingers are crossed, but anytime you got a rookie qb with not a lot of film for teams to review it's hard to make any kind of assessment.
We saw it it with Pickett where his production dissapeared once teams had enough footage to deconstruct his play. You start going into late season games and year 2, that's when you have a better overview of a dude's potential.

This is ridiculous! He absolutely has only been slightly impressive in one game. The last one. The only thing is that he's not losing the games for the team. That is the same kind of thing that will end with them in the same situation as last year. It won't win you a Superbowl for sure! Wilson is that piece they have been missing to go into a deep playoff run or Superbowl appearance/win! And Russ had more than just a good season last year. His numbers are almost identical to Mahomes last year and he didn't play allseason. I will be surprised if Tomlin doesn't play Wilson when he's healthy. There is no way Tomlin is satisfied with the QB play the last 3 weeks.

Somehow i just dont think you should be paid millions of dollars to talk about a game you dont even watch. Its been proven time and time again that the box score doesnt tell the full story, and, in fact can deceive you. Any time i hear someone say "lookin at the score here..." gotcha, so you didnt watch the game, and any evaluation you make will inherently have less value because of that fact. It makes them look goofy. But ig they could care less, cuz theyre getting paid
