Gotta give you guys some props.......this is the best video period! I was able to take my unit apart and see the coils in the freezer full of ice..........Thanks again for a great tutorial.
Worked like a charm. My freezer drawer was loose after a move and the inspector said it was broken and would need a whole new rail system. I took the door off and saw that the brackets connecting to the rails and door frame were really loose. Tightened everything up, and presto… fixed
This kind of thing would be a MAJOR reason I would buy that refrigerator !! It would beat out ALL the other brands. A DIY repair approach.
Thank you very much for posting this extremely helpful how-to DIY video. I pulled the rubber gasket off the back and found a huge piece of dust blocking the water from exiting it. I also vacuumed out all the dust that I could from behind the fridge panel in the back. After applying the hair dryer to the defrost the ice covering the freezer drain plug, the drain pan in the back of the fridge went from bone dry to completely full of water (almost overflowing). The biggest hassle for me was removing the freezer drawer and basket. I would advise just unplugging the fridge and opening the freezer drawer to let it defrost naturally if you have somewhere to store your freezer food as an easy workaround versus using the hair dryer.
What a great Video. I have a Kenmore model 253. refrigerator. From watching this video, It's the exact same as the Frigidaire shown here. I needed to know how to get at the freezer evaporator, and defroster. This showed in detail, particularly how to remove the freezer door, and access the evaporator. Wish I had found this sooner

Skipped over the one thing I needed -- removing that roller and the flat panel underneath the deli drawer. We've got some yucky water under there after doing a full thaw and I can't get that cover off to clean it up.

Just threw out my second and final Frigidaire today 12/26/22 both went out in the last 5years the ice makers on both messed up within the first two months of purchase.The first ice maker we had repaired 7 times finally we just bought a counter top ice maker.The next refrigerator we had the ice maker repaired 4 times finally just went back to using the countertop machine .The whole refrigerator just went out Christmas Eve so today we threw it out,went with a Whirlpool this time.
I replaced the evaporator in the fridge, but it doesn't cool upstairs, only in the fridge, what do you think is the problem?
Unfortunately, I watched the entire video and it didn't show the temp sensor location.

So I have an issue with the defrost cycle. Many people say there is a defrost board, defrost heater, defrost timer, and defrost thermostat. I can locate the defrost thermostat and defrost heater in my refrigerator (and also in this video) but I can't find the defrost timer or defrost board. Is it possible this refrigerator doesn't have a defrost timer or board?
If I replace the defrost thermostat and the defrost heater is functional by manual activation, what other part do I need to replace?
Can you show me where is defrost timer located?
My fridge was made on 7/17. The damper on my meal del cannot be accessed as in the video. Model DGHF 2367. Any suggestions?

Anyone know how to remove the retaining clips from the freezer drawer?? I had ground coffee in the frezer and the box ripped and now its a mess behind the drawer. Need to clean it but cant reach it. Cant remove the drawer because of the secure clips. Help please.
Used this video to disassemble a Frigidaire that the ice maker went bad for the last time. Could fit out the front door, so removed the doors to get a few more inches of clearance. Fridge came with the house we bought, but the repairman advised to just toss it out 4 years ago… apparent a poorly designed model year. Frigidaire used to be top of the line but very disappointed with this model! Trying a LG that has ice maker built into the door..putting the ice maker box in the fridge section was dumb!!

What is the function of the air deflector pan on the freezing compartment exactly this video show. The Refrigerator I got is exactly like this one...so please give me a clue about it.
Yeah and how the heck do you clip it back into place, it came out super easily without having to take the whole damn freezer apart or even unplugging it so I could clean inside the freezer but now the damn thing will not go back in. I'm so frustrated right now, tried to call Fridigaire but they had me on hold forever!
Does anybody know the what those two square insulated "holes" are at the bottom-back corners of the fridge? I have water condensing and dripping from the ice maker at the top-left of the fridge, down the back and accumulating in the left "hole"
I've got the same issue, but mine is going into the right "hole". The hole is completely frozen with ice now.

Have this issue as well, there is a bunch of liquid stuck down there and this cover is keeping me from cleaning it.

The roller has two sided tape and needs to be pried off. Once the roller is removed the rest of the shelf comes off by sliding it towards the back of the fridge.
