- A short song made in FL Studio with a piano!
Going on walks, going to the pool, solace in the air conditioning... Little things I appreciate about summer that I was thinking about while making this :]
For some reason, I REALLY struggled with the last portion of this song. I probably composed the entirety of the other parts in the time I spent trying to figure out like 6 beats worth of chords and melody…
By the time I figured out something I liked, I didn’t really feel like working on this piece anymore and decided to cut it off there. Consequently, I feel the pacing is a little fast, but I like the ideas that are there!
ALSO, I finally got around to improving the quality of my daw visuals. Hopefully its easier on the eyes!

Even though the sun set an hour ago, I can feel its warmth, and the whimsicalness of being outside on a late July afternoon. This is why I acquired my aunt's hi-fi. She never uses it so.. it's mine now, I guess.
you're so underrated. keep up the good work!!!
I feel the sun, its warmth and light~ thank you!
this sounds really soothing and gives a happy vibe, your a really great artist! keep pursuing your hobbies!
Thank you! I’ll try my best to keep it up :)
This calms me down so much
This reminds me of something that would be it botw/totk. sounds really good!
Amazing
this is beautiful.
do you usually have ideas before you create melodies, or do you just kinda go along with whatever until you have something you’re satisfied with?
thank you!
the second option mostly!
it's VERY rare that i have an idea before hand haha.
i usually start by experimenting on my piano until i find a small motif i like, and then i try to expand on it. i kinda repeat this process throughout the song making more unique motifs or repeating motifs as i feel best suits the piece.
@@daireks that’s honestly really cool! i’m slowly learning how to produce and i’ve been a little stuck on the process so this helps out a ton :) thanks
this sounds so nice omg
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
great harmonies here!
Thank you! I was trying to be a bit more mindful of my chord voicings here
this rules
This is amazing! Can I know what VST's you are using?
Thank you! I’m using Noire by Native Instruments here
Why it had to end😢
Can you share the noire vst tuning you used in this video?
here it's actually unaltered! just the basic pure preset :)
though, i did add some fruity reverb and the velocities are pretty humanized since i inputted with a midi keyboard.
@@daireks ah so thats why it feels natural. the only thing i need to do is to add reverb then. Thanks a lot!
how u get so good
i learned by making a short song every few days! the process can feel a little daunting with lots of trial and error, but with each song, you develop a sense for what works more and more :)
@@daireks good advice man thank you
can i use this instrument for free
The piano I'm using here, Noire by NI, is not free unfortunately, no. I believe it's on sale for 50% off right now though if you're interested. It's a really great vst!
