Yeah the fight sets it up as some awesome clash against a guy you can't beat on your own. But really we'd have smoked him an hour ago if his buddies were blocking him.
Claude takes a FULL punch in the face from the final boss for you, to set you up. THAT's a friend! Other RPGs talk a lot about friendship, but this guy actually puts his face where his mouth is. (Well, his mouth is already on his face, but you know what I meant)
That’s probably to represent byleth pre-chapter 10 before he/she got so this power, plus you can’t even get all the relics in CF, Blue lions let you get the most. Best to let all routes be cannon unless stated otherwise by IS
@Stories 101 the problem is only in the CF route do you fight all the house leaders and learn about the king of liberation and deal with him offscreen in BL you dont even know about them so they are never delt with. In VW you learn the most but you don't fight Demitri and he is killed by emp troops so it can be safely assumed that his spear is looted or lost. Similarly in BL Claud doesn't give you his bow so he takes it with him. In SS you only fight El and Claud leaves so same as in BL. The only route that has any chance of meeting all criteria is the CF route.

He never got to see that Garreg Mach - for all it's flaws had a microcosm of his ideal world since he never got to spend that initial year there. He never met Byleth so his views on fate and belief were never changed. Claude's growth is more subtle than the other lords. He changes his views slowly, over time and with experience. He doesn't change much - but he changes enough for his whole plan to shift. Three Hopes strips him of the experiences that ultimately change his views. So he's far more of a ruthless person than he was after the time skip.

"You lack the courage to face me in lone combat!"
Didn't he use his ten pals as a meatshield before the cutscene?

Yes he did
Claude is literally using the power of friendship.
And ironically he won. This is mlp now
And the Power of Arrows x3
claude the god, says ok boomer before it's cool and trickshots the most broken thief ever

He isn`t talking from between his butcheeks, is what you mean x3
I must agree, He has the most backbone in the series, at least from how i see it
my guy watched my little pony and called it a day
Even tried to mimic the death laser after a friendship speech.
I feel the Golden Deer route is the true ending to three houses
…well the silver snow fits decently in the true ending as well (most likely because it is)
For me, its the Blue Lion since you can save all of the recruitable players.
This is super late but in engage bylith has dark green hair and all the relics so i think they now implied that crimson flower was the true ending.

"Friendship is magic"
This is why I have so much respect for Claude compared to the 2 other houses.
And then he put a ring on my Byleth's finger and dipped.
Still gives me chills
Fear the Deer.
I always knew Claude and female Byleth 💖were made for each other and hopefully be married even though this is just a Nintendo Switch game.
Yes! I completely agree. Their ending feels almost unfinished, which for me makes me feel like there's more around the corner. ❤
Broke villains: Ah, you caught me monologuing. Nice try.
Woke heroes: Catch me monologuing so I can distract you from the killing blow.
this is the cannon route imo
Claude!
Remember when Claude didn’t suck as a character?
He did nothing out of character in 3 Hopes, he simply didn't trust people as much without Byleth to teach him, even on other Routes.
