    Richard, this is so cool. Earlier this month I ordered a Halcyon 250 and it sure would be an experience of a
    Lifetime to make this sort of trip. I'd make it a long leisure trip if it were me. Such a beautiful bike.

    380 degrees! My first bike was a air cooled 450. Im glad I never had anything to tell me how hot it got. That just sounds scary. Wonder how much cooler it would be with the oil cooler

    As a native Hoosier, I'm proud of them. As a motorcycle rider, I'm embarrassed for them.

    I was fool enough to spend over 10K on the Janus 250. Worst purchase decision I've ever made. Frankly, Janus bikes are pure garbage. The selling point is the attractive, vintage look and the company's small town, made-in-America, persona. It's all phony. These videos are made by Janus employees or paid hacks. The bike can barely top 40mph. Dangerously slow. The gas tank holds less than 2 gallons. The lack of rear suspension makes the ride a torture. Nothing but repair after repair. I've bought a Royal Enfield 350 and It's a welcome pleasure. All I can do is park the Janus in my garage and let it rot. It's too much of a pain to try to sell it. And, I don't want to pass this crap on to some unsuspecting buyer. Don't even think of buying anything from Janus. Take my advice. I learned it the hard way.

    Cruise control... on a motorcycle is hand down the dumbest shit ever heard..

    • @omnivore2220
      @omnivore2220 2 года назад +2

      First let’s be clear; that’s not cruise control. It’s a simple throttle lock. Second, you’ve clearly never ridden long distances with a twist throttle. More and more bike manufacturers are including actual cruise control on their bikes, for good reason. Try holding that grip in position against the return spring for an hour non-stop and you’ll totally change your mind. What, you’re OK with that now? Wait twenty years.

    Show what our engine can do? I like Janus for the retro style, but please don't imply that you make the engines.

      OneEyedJack01 I feel like this company gets a ton of comments from people saying they love the bikes and would buy one if it wasn't for the "crap" engine. I feel like he was just implying that he was going to prove that the motor is a perfect and reliable fit for their bikes. For all the naysayers. Just my take. I personally own a Janus Phoenix, and I can say that the bike and motor are fantastic and the Janus crew we're a pleasure to work with during the purchase and build process. Be safe out there OneEyedJack01!

      @mikeleke0 It must not be fun, being such a miserable person. This bike is a wonderful, hand built bike that I love. Everywhere I go, people love it as well. It more than gets the job done for my city riding in Austin and puts a smile on my face. It's interesting that you have such a strong opinion on something that you don't even own, and that you feel the need to bash others about it on the internet. Get a life, but be safe out there if you ride on two wheels.

      @Jimm Crowe You just showed everyone what an ass you are, with such a comment. I'm not going to pay you anymore attention. Enjoy your obviously unhappy life.

      *If you bought one of these water-pipe framed Chinese powered 229CC mopeds for $4K, you got a discount. That's about half price.*

    Why a Chinese cheap engine on a $7000.00 bike, why are the brakes and electronics Chinese. Same engine as on a $1400.00 Hawk Motorcycle! Not a very original paint scheme right off a Moto Guzzi.
