Hello everyone, I am uruguayan. I watched this video and then I started reading the comments, saw that a lot of you worried about our ppl and it center. I have good news, the center had open in 2020, 8 years after this video. I wanted to the ones who are gonna see this know that, bye!
I am from East Africa and we are all very proud of you. Wherever we are in the wide world and whatever obstacles are thrown across our pathway our VOICE will NEVER be silenced. The most important thing is that we persue KNOWLEDGE at whatever cost for knowledge is POWER.
@@nadinegomez8858 I'm referring to The Scriptures. Deuteronomy 28. We were scattered into countries all around the world. This is why in some countries where you wouldn't expect to see Brown Skin people WE ARE THERE. #chosenseeds
@@nadinegomez8858It's ok love. I understand your concern but that behavior will not be tolerated in the Kingdom which was promised to The Chosen Seeds. So keep up the insults and be judged accordingly.
The above was posted in 2012 but turned up in my profile in the year 2018. However, and interestingly it is good to be aware that people of African descent are being highlighted. No more will my people remain hidden and their culture stole away by the oppressors. The social media is a great tool. Thanks to the ideas that brought it into perspective. Therefore communication like this, can be rapidly broadcast to the world waking up more and more people of African descent around the globe to unite against the evils of racism by others.
Uruguayans slavery ended in 1842! Probably the first country to liberate them. We also were the first country in the world who had a black player in our national football team around 1916. In 1924, Leandro Andrade, named by french as the "Black Marvel", became famous in Europe. As an Uruguayan, some of these people's comments (the ones in the video), make me pretty sick!!! The guy says that they are the forgotten ones... What is he talking about??? We have the longest Carnival in the world it lasts 40 days, and during carnaval they play candombe. The problem with many of these people is that they play candombe, breath candombe, and live candombe 365 days a year... which is ok as long as they also do other important things in life like going to school... School in Uruguay has been mandatory for almost 150 years. So if they do not achieve many things in life like the rest of people is because they do not study. So I hate when the play the victim card. Because the ones who decide to do something good with their lives, succeed. There have been lots of football players in our team who made a lot of money, for example!
dubeei4u I don’t know what is going on in the countries you visited, but don’t put all of us in the same bag. If you do so, you give me the right to think that Africa is one big poor continent full of ignorants like you. But no, I won’t do that, because I know better than that. Go, judge the countries you visited, but my black people, you better respect them. And I never said, that in Uruguay there is no racism, at all, that is impossible. Even in your dear Africa, a person with a lighter skin is looked as someone superior... because if you travelled to judge other places, we did too. I know first hand, so don’t give me your shit. If in Uruguay a person of color doesn’t study and progress is because he/she is too lazy to do so. Because, everybody has the right to do it. School is mandatory... and some who grew up in a poor neighborhood like me,, know that, yes there is “classicism ” but for most part we are not racists.. even though every country (including yours and mine) has it shares of stupidity... you are a great example!!! Why don’t you watch the program Por que Uruguay? Africa, and see by yourself how bad we treat them... listen to the first guy from Sierra Leone, how horrible he was treated!!! Idiot!
