Kim, I'm so sorry to hear about your stroke. Wishing you much strength in your recovery journey. Also really glad to hear the videos are helping. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I have Novebmer 2023 aphasia victim. I have some videos of my insights and maybe they will be helpful (and amusing maybe lol) ruclips.net/video/5MTp1_jLhZo/видео.html
Moving my lips along with yours makes me laugh! It's fun to exaggerate. And I know it's good for me. Thank you again, Kosandra, these videos are really changing my life. I also tell all my ND friends to check out your videos, because most of us were overlooked in school 30+ years ago. Even when I don't have the specific issue you say an exercise is for, I find every one of them is a new and interesting thing to do, and I love developing new capacities.
Shayna, thanks so much for sharing you're experience. I'm so glad that you're finding these videos helpful and beneficial for your life. Way to seek out resources for yourself! I'm working on a vocal function exercise video to come out next week, which will be my first video about voice problems. I'd love to know what you think of it!
Thanks for the message! It honestly depends on the type of dysarthria and which system is affected (respiration, phonation, resonance, articulation, prosody). Generally if there is weakness of the articulators (lips, tongue) strengthening can be beneficial. Compensatory strategies of over articulation and slowing rate are frequently used. I have not done a dysarthria series yet but will keep it in mind!
Hi Hazem. If speech/language difficulties are secondary to a disease (such as Parkinson's or multiple sclerosis) then treating the underlying disease with medications may improve the speech. This would be a conversation to have with the physician.
I like your videos, I just had a stroke Jan 4, 2024 and your videos help a lot. My speech was the only affected. Thank you😊

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this!
This helps me better than any of the speech therapy stuff that they showed me at rehab
Wow Kiba. So glad I could be a resource for you. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
Thank you so much for your time and commitment to all of us who have speech problems. I love these exercises and practice them religiously.
You are very welcome and thank you so much for sharing this with me!
Yay, you’re back!
Yes! Trying to create weekly! Thanks for coming back too :)

You're very welcome!
So happy to see the new videos!
Do you have suggestions for exercises for someone with dysarthria?

Is there any therapy such as drugs
