Prices have dropped quite a bit since this was published, but any barely used eBike in this class built and local for under $900 is probably worthwhile. Skipping shipping, taxes, and assembly are nice benefits of going used. We'll be selling about 40 eBikes in southeastern Michigan this spring. They are the bikes we reviewed during the last year. We've got to make room for this year's review units. Hopefully they'll all find excited riders.
We did not find this bike hard to handle but the eBike landscape has changed a lot since this review. We would recommend the Aventon Level.2 over the KBO. You can see that review here: ruclips.net/video/-B-r7kS47YQ/видео.html Or at the Aventon web site below alnk.to/d3ywjMw
This park is a delight and Michigan is filled with great places to ride. We hope you'll visit our state this summer or fall :) This is still one of the quietest eBikes we've tested.
We'd like to shoot as many eBike review videos as possible in parks throughout the beautiful state of Michigan to encourage folks to visit our great state. From May-September it is a lovely place to be :)
Is it rear or centre motor? I read that one should go for centre motor, as front/rear have a slight delay from moving the pedals to reacting, that is annoying.
This is a rear hub motor. Some advantages hubs have over mid-drive is generally lower cost and hubs are generally quieter. Hub motors are decoupled from the shifting/pedal systems which makes operation easier and extends the life of those components. Disadvantages can include extra weight at the wheels, which is less than ideal. Additionally, the power cannot be mechanically multiplied by the shifting system. The mid-drive eBikes we have tested each have some lag even when equipped with cadence and torque sensors. The KBO is among the best we've experienced for blending power smoothly without any sense of runaway throttle.
Thank you! Your sound quality is amazing by the way!
We appreciate you for visiting. We are doing our best to improve production quality with each video and your encouragement means a lot. Thank you.
Good video. I have the opportunity to pick one up for like $800 thats barely used. Stepover frame. I suppose I should snatch it up!

Nice video !!
Thank you. We hope it helps folks who are narrowing down eBike options.
Hi, Thank you for the great review. I was wondering, the website says the bike is 62 lbs. Did you find the bike hard to handle? Seems very heavy.

hey! your refferal link is broken :)
Thank you for letting us know Jeslyn.
We just gave it a try and it does take users to the KBO site now. I'm not sure if it was temporary...
