Would love to see Bubbles take Slams more seriously. Yes, Shang isn't an easy out & yes they went five sets, but still. Bublé's whole aloof, lackadaisical, meh shtick wears thin when he repeatedly comes up short at the biggest events. It's another R1 loss. AO '24 all over again. Where's the ruthless focus & fight? Can't always blame that calf muscle for underperformance. Idk, man...
unforced errors was high for both players! Shang needs to cut down on the errors and be more consistent if he wants to go deep. Bubbles could have won but let down by lack of intensity.
That's a difficult task for ANYONE. 7 matches in a row, best of 5. He's currently sitting on 36/24 win/loss for the last 12 months. He hasn't strung together 7 wins in a row in low level, best of 3 tournaments. So, no form at lower level to indicate this. His technical level is currently UTR 15.13. There are a lot of players with higher UTR's he would have to overcome, never mind being potentially beaten by an underdog along the way as well. Sorry, but unless his technical level improves, it wont happen.
With the advancing pace in his ATP ranking for the last 1 year or so, it makes sense to say this. Plus there's so much room to improve at age of 19. But winning a Grand Slam is just SOOOOOOOO hard. However, we can probably bet that he wins his first 250/500 title within 3 years, as Wu Yibing already did in Dallas in 2023.
He is having fun (as always) 😂 Even if he gets his act together and be serious in all matches on tour, I doubt if he can make it to the top tier (it's super competitive there). Maybe that's why he is enjoying himself on tour 🤣
Can you please use both players as thumbnails instead of ruining the highlights by giving away winner when some fans worldwide don’t have access to full matches? Thanks
I think Shang was just a little annoyed at himself that it took him four tries to win that point, which he should have put it away with the first volley.
Shang working his way to top 25 form. His serve is markedly better, and so is his aggressiveness.
Shang is such a creative player.
CLASSIC BUBLIK, SO MUCH POTENTIAL BUT WASTED
that hook shot from shang made my jaw drop bro
Great game, Shang.👏
竣程加油👏👏
1:31 best shot of the day

商竣程好波👍👍👍👍
Reminds me of the great Michael Chang😊

Chang was far better
In my opinion, this tournament would see many more ranking upsets maybe most among recent grand slam events

It's JERRY!
Go Asia, go Asia ❤🎉
Put Shang in the next Star Wars series.

Not surprised by this.
Bublik, you have to give it your all. This is a grand slam match. Check the fact sheet.
Its a 5 set match so I think he has given all out
Shang is the mang, wait...!
I will not be supersized if Shang advanced to Top 20.
Shang is such a pretty boy
Dear USOpen content creators, PLEASE STOP SPOILING RESULTS WITH THE THUMBNAIL IMAGES
Nick Kyrgios gonna take revenge🤣
Bublik ya gotta fight for your rights to enter the 2nd week, man!
It is 2024, why do we still not have 4k 60fps picture quality from one of the biggest sporting events in the world 😭😭😭
Grow up. 720p is more than fine enough for RUclips
Bublik is hilariously messy. I root for him to bring that shaggy dogg feel to the court. Sorry to see him go.
Why is Shang constantly hitting the ball to the middle of the court??!!
Novak Shangkovic
One day, I think Shang Juncheng will win a Grand Slam

Bulik was too casual, relaxed, and tried to be funny and entertained as usual so he deserved a L.😢

2:23 what was the problem here? cant see any context

@@alpinescope4441 But it appears as if he's facing the umpire, not his team?
