I disagree on Surf gate being superior for these boats. For what it's worth the Regal tends to be lauded as the best wave on a forward drive boat. The surf gate system was designed for a flatter hull. The tab system works very well on a deep V like this as the it just helps move the flow of water slightly that the V is already wanting to create. Take Centurion for example, they have a v shaped hull, use a tab system, and make a better surf wave than Malibu, and any other manufacturer for that matter

I would love to. I love that boat. Your boat design is probably the best in the game for the forward drive world. Amazing functionality for a family. The seat design to accommodate rear seating and forward seating is top notch. I love the deck height is perfect too. The lower the better. 👍👍

I know you like the Regal, but I don't think they are really very close to the Cobalt surf boats. Better materials better handling etc. Regal is just less expensive IMO.

Do you think the Surf capability is sufficient to get up and enjoy? I realize the Malibu, Axis and Nautique are specifically for that, but would the average boat wake surfer realize or know the difference? Lastly, on the LS6 can you make the wave bigger & smaller? Thanks very much for your reply!

they do have different surf settings for size of wave. based on what the sales men were saying these would compare to high end boats just not going to be quite as big as the insanely heavy higher end 180000 plus boats. I'll be getting on a couple of these forward drives in the upcoming months to give some real comparisons for my own taste.
