if your videos have taught me anything, it is that you can make it on youtube. such little time on this channel and you have grown quite the audience. also, THESE VIDEOS ARE AMAZING!! 🎉
I like seeing your coverage of CHL, it makes me more interested in it. I like seeing your wide range of topics from NHL to CHL, to hockey rinks in the middle of nowhere
To be completely honest, I grew up with hockey, loving it at every turn, but after playing year after year with complete meatheads who didn't care about the game and instead just wanted to drink and mess around, I ended up swapping to men's league and kind of just fizzling out of hockey during COVID. I had legitimately forgotten how much I enjoy hockey until watching many of your uploads, and its just massive to have someone who cares about the scene and the individuals within it, as well as sharing the love of analysis. Your videos are a PERFECT example of how news should be done, thank you!
My family moved from Australia to Halifax for about 18 months when I was 7 in 2000 / 2001. In due course, we ended up attending a Mooseheads game and my brother and I fell in love with the sport. We've been involved with hockey back in Australia ever since, but we've also kept up with Mooseheads in that time too. Go Moose!
I absolutely love junior hockey. The NHL feels a lot slower and the players pace themselves more, the juniors high energy, face pace, high scoring games is what I LIVE for. I'm from Truro and I go to Every bearcats game and I'm hoping to go to a mooseheads game soon. Keep up the good work man I'm loving this channel
Seeing videos like this makes me very happy to be really into the QMJHL I live in Nova Scotia, the end of 2022 and the start of 2023 as a hockey fan was my absolute favourite time of my life I was able to watch three world junior games live. Sweden vs Germany was the first game game one of the three game series for the two worst teams was two but my absolute favourite game seeing live was Sweden vs Czech semifinal watching that game live was amazing. I did see a moosehead’s game and that was the game between Quebec and Halifax which was a great defensive game with Halifax winning 2 to 1 in the shootout, the winner was scored by a former teammate of mine back in atom Cameron whynot.
I think the 67s will have a deep run in the OHL playoffs, they have a great goalie in Max Donoso and a decent backup in Colin Mackenzie, a great line up on D with Thomas Sirman, Jack Matier, Marco Costantini and a very good rookie in Henry Mews, and a amazing forward line with Luca Pinelli, Brad Gardiner, Brady Stonehouse, Vinzenz Rohrer and that's without mentioning Tyler Boucher who is injured, and the 67s picked up 2 amazing players in Pavel Mintyukov and Logan Morrison for draft picks, the 67s roster this year is stacked with a great junior hockey coach with Dave Cameron and his ability to shutdown defence and being able to capitalize on opponents mistakes for goals
Impressive turnout! Im enjoying the CHL coverage. I've not watched any before bc it's hard enough to keep up with the nhl while in Australia, so its a nice change of pace, thanks Eck!
wow i had no idea people showed up like this to Q games!! obviously when a team is super good you go see them, but my local CHL team struggled so much with attendance when i was younger that they actually had to relocate 😭 thanks for the coverage! looks like a great team and a great barn!
Can’t wait to see them in Quebec at the end of February. They probably won’t lose in regulation (or just lose) until then, so the Remparts will have a chance to put a end to this streak. It’s gonna be a exciting match up !
I was at the CB game as well. It was surprising how little animosity there was between them, as typically there is a strong physical element in their meeting. Josh Lawrence is fun to watch with the puck. Hoping the Moose clean up some of the defensive lapses they have for the playoffs. I've never been to the Loose Cannon and will have to put it on my to do list.
I went to school in Fredericton with Josh Lawrence and played hockey against him growing up. Seeing him win the memorial cup in SJ last year was amazing. Now seeing him in the top 5 in scoring, and you covering the Mooseheads makes me even HAPPIER! Go Moose! Hope they can make a run for it this year!
Good to see more CHL coverage! Visited the maritimes this past summer and it was great. Halifax was a highlight for sure, just sad I didn't get to catch a game out there.
US'er here, Halifax is awesome. Some of my best (and worst) memories are at Dirty Nelly's, and it's where I first got to shake hands with Sid. Great town
As a Lethbridge Hurricanes and Edmonton Oil Kings fan, It's nice to see junior hockey represented on your channel. If you ever end up out West, Hurricane games are a great time and Oil Kings games are cheap as borscht for the ice they play on. Too bad both teams are kinda not so great this year. Halifax gets vilified online but it's a great city. From one Canadian youtuber to another, Keep yer stick on the ice, Eck.
Born in Quebec but moved to Drummondville in August, I rarely go to games but i always had a good time when I went to remparts games so I totally agree with how much love the Qmjhl gets
After watching this I wanna travel across the pond and go watch some junior hockey in Canada. Really fast paced, lots of mistakes and a lot of skill. Seems like such a fun time.
Ah yes I have a funny story. So I played a Nova Scotia team. We lost to the select team 22-2. We made the championship and had to play their elite team. We ended winning 3-2 and we were very surprised but we didn’t quit and beat them.
Living in Ottawa I am kinda spoilt because I can see OHL and Qmjhl games all the time. Your are forgetting the 67s are on a tear and having a great season. Love your videos and keep up with the CHL content.
Been watching your videos for a couple months now, was absolutely shocked to see this video as me and my dad went to both of the games over the weekend. Keep it up Eck
As a huskies fan I love that you’re covering qmjhl games I feel like the rest of the chl underhypes it because it’s mostly Quebec but keep up the good work!
Love the videos! Keep up the great work, also love the Moosehead stuff, I miss my moose games. I always enjoyed the special event nights, won my Drouin PinkTheRink jersey there, they do a great job putting those on! Thanks again for you videos!
I played with #5 Brady for one year he’s a great kid I live in the US and don’t follow the team a whole lot but it’s awesome seeing the team doing so well
I'd love to get a goalie cut Sherbrooke Phoenix jersey. I love their logo. The college I went to was in the middle of nowhere and had lower league hockey teams and a minor league baseball team. I didn't expect a lot of people to show up when I went.... Boy I was way wrong. I loved the atmosphere.
I live in Germany and watching my local club is like watching slow motion hockey. It's kind of weird actually, changes the whole dynamic. It's like watching an entirely different sport.
I'm from Quebec city and the Remparts are now 1st in the entire CHL. I'm planning on going to Moosheads and Remparts game in late february. Hoping my Remparts are gonna win and show who's the boss😂. No but frl this is gonna be a great game and I hope they're gonna face off in the playoff. Keep up the great work I love your your content, makes me happy every time I see the notification!
I live in halifax huge moose fan. I'm a student at Dalhousie, and was at the juniors here as well. Crazy time watching the juniors wondering if you went to that as well?
Man if Halifax can get almost 10k ppl for a regular season game, how the fuck can they not support an nhl team. I get the ad revenue and TV numbers are most likely the bigger problem. But ppl constantly say there wouldn't be enough people going to games and I simply refuse to believe that.
Canadian researchers did a study showing that Canada can support more NHL teams, one in Halifax, Saskatoon, and more teams in Toronto and Montreal (the latter having been home to three teams at one point). Of course, Leafs and habs wouldn't agree to having another team in the same city, unlike say Moscow in KHL or London in the Premier League.
Doesn’t have to do with the Mooseheads but those Titan Jerseys shown in the video really remind me of Chilliwack Chiefs Red Jerseys Keep up the great content Eck
I WENT TO THAT SAME GAME! It was a great game! It was also my first game since 2019 or 2020! In the second game, I could’ve gone with my hockey team, but, I had puppy training
So cool that you live in Halifax. It's the only capital I can ever remember because when I was homeschooled it was the only capital I was taught by my mom before we moved onto medieval shit or something. Anyways, good video
I got to return to Halifax this past Christmas for the first time in 20 years. However, it was brief because I had to pick up my rental car to drive 5 hours to my family in New Brunswick because it was cheaper to fly to Halifax and drive to New Brunswick than it was to fly to New Brunswick itself. On the way back to Halifax, I did layover for New Year's in Moncton to watch the World Junior game between the US and Finland.
I'm from Cape Breton and it's sad to see how the fan base has pretty much died. Most games centre 200 is basically empty, when I a kid it was absolutely packed. When we had Fleury it was electric
Curious how much do Moosehead tickets run without me looking? I'm from London Ontario tickets are pretty cheap and I go when I can. CHL hockey has a great atmosphere and buzz
Man when I lived in Portland it was great being able to follow CHL / WHL games after living in Vancouver from 07-10 but in the US (even Oregon and Washington with the 4 whl teams)the coverage is abysmal. Just curious about how Halifax shows the games? Is it on like sportsnet maritime or something? Or is there a streaming app? Love your content Eck!
