I’m autistic so I really struggle with people, but I want to say that you and your husband are my favourite online people. You have such good souls. It’s my dream to one day be able to handle living alone, or even go to a supermarket which you two are able to avoid. Love the videos. I get sad they’re not longer!
I totally agree Jess! I could watch and learn from Sarah and Kevin for hours! They make everything so interesting. I guess it's a good thing that, (not actually, But) their videos are not very long!?!.....Cause, I know for me, I wouldn't get any of my daily chores or activities completed on time, not to mention, the animals would probably start losing weight! Lol. Have a great, rest of the weekend. God bless! .
I'm autistic and I struggle with people too but being home with my animals and tending to the garden really helps me. I love videos like these and they inspire me. I don't live alone yet and probably never will but I'm ok with that. I am able to go to the store by myself. I don't enjoy it but I can do it if I want something specific bad enough. Otherwise my mom gets what she needs (I live with her but we help each other out). When I go shopping I try to ignore the fruit loop customers, get what I need and get out of there quickly lol. The other day there was this really angry, crazy lady beating up her car with her purse and attacked the trash can in the parking lot like a wild animal 🤣 it helps to laugh at crazies, makes any fear or uneasiness go away. God Bless You 🙏😊👍
My first kidding watch I was 12/13 . Mother said you keep watch they can come any minute but I need to harvest in the garden; call me when they start coming out. She was a very large French Alpine and so pregnant you could not reach all the way around her belly. Eventually some hooves came out so I ran to the barn door and called. Got back in time to clear the nose and set the kid in clean bedding. Ran to the door and called and back for the next one. Six time and still no mother. When she showed up I was reminded it was my 4-H project I needed the confidence I could do it.
I don’t know the first thing about goats. I think they are a wonderful animal. You give a wonderful understanding of the birthing process. Keep up the videos. You and Kevin are wonderful teachers. God press you both. Thoroughly enjoy your videos.
I can't wait for the babies. Seriously, I live in the middle of a big city and somehow relate to your living out there in country paradise. Maybe in a past life ... I was a pioneer woman. You amaze me.
Thank you for your great vids! You are like having a sister who can talk me through all those questions I didn’t even know I have! Great info, so glad I found you...
Good morning! I’m so excited for the babies! Baby goats are so precious! Sitting here with my coffee learning about pre-labored goats is totally my way to start the day 😊 enjoy your weekend, hope the babies come soon!
I stumbled upon this video years after it was made and I'm so thankful! We are heading into our first kidding season and I have a goatie momma about ready I think. This video has DEFINITELY helped me to understand some of the changes that happen. I've studied and read and studied some more but still didn't feel confident. After SEEING the info that you showed, I feel so much better! Thank you for sharing this!
Oh my goodness that content look on her face says it all!!! I don't know much about goats we had a couple rescue ones they were all Pines or something they were huge the vet figured they were close to 300 lb. We love them so much but when one passed on we found a place only 7 miles away that had donkeys and goats just for fun and to spoil them. I'm happy to say our buddy goatley now has people and living the life 💜 I'm sending good thoughts and prayers that you have healthy goats and babies very soon!!!
Hey Sarah 😊 How exciting to be waiting for the babies to arrive.. six babies wow you’re going to have your hands full.. but they’ll be so adorable. And just to hold the babies.. thanks for the up date . We’ll be waiting and watching for the next video. Blessing 👩🌾
Nothing like a good scratching ~ 2:19 is adorable! Poor Honey, feeling a little left out. I heard Honey say she was going to chew that twine and get back in to the forbidden area, ha ha. Cocoas kids are moving 8:22 . Hopefully Princess will let you near when she's kidding. So exciting! Thank you for sharing!
Honey's talking to the other goats, she is the birthing coach:) She's probably wanting to see those babies and play. You sure explain it all very well. Cocoa really likes you being close to her.
Honey was just so jealous. Cocoa was enjoying what you was doing to her. Like you was massaging her. She was really enjoying it. I can't wait to see the babies. You sound like a grandmother in waiting and I get it. They're like your kiddos. Have a blessed day guys 💖
Thank you so much for sharing, I could have watched her babies moving all day! When I was breeding my dogs I would sit for hours with them in my lap, with my hand on their bellies feeling the babies move, awesome.
Awww, for some reason I was thinking, Honey was prego also! Isn't she a character! I guess she feels every one's stress levels ramping and wants to offer support??? I'm sure it's not jealousy at all.... Lol! My uncle had one Nanny, that he could never tell until the kid had arrived, and he used to make him a pallet bed and stay on kid watch over night. He was , as my aunt would say, overly dedicated to all of his animals during, what he called, "highly energetic times", on the farm. This video brings back memories of him, to me. There in great hands, Sarah! My anxiety level is going to be up, until Tuesday morning, at least. Hope you have a great weekend and things go exactly the way you would like. Thank you for sharing and God bless!
That's a really great memory to have of your Uncle. I bet he drove your Aunt bonkers at Kidding time or Lambing or Calving time any or all of those babies arriving on the farm. He must've been a great big softie of a man to be so dedicated to his animals, it shows the massive respect he held for them. Great memories.
Living Traditions Homestead Maybe it'll be a surprise and in the same, not to much of one. All 3 of them are gorgeous! But to be honest, I'm a little partial to her (honey) color. Not to mention her personality! Maybe at the least, Honey will be a great kidsitter when and if needed. They are all blessed to be in such loving hands, with you and the family. Good luck!
Thank you for being thorough on describing the ligaments. I have a pregnant goat that is close to giving birth and I never had someone actually show me in detail about the ligaments. Cant wait to see those new babies on our homestead.
Thank you so much, Sarah! This is going to be both my, and Luna's first time and I have to say that you gave the most detailed overview of this that I have found anywhere online yet! I have a close friend mentoring me from another town, but there is nothing like a visual.
I would be so excited too, babies are adorable any time. I hope you get some rest this weekend. But if you're busy with baby goats thats awesome too. God Bless.
Thank You Sarah. I have 3 - 1 year old katadan ewes . I have put a ram in with them now so this will be the first time for them and myself seeing them through it too. You have been a God sent gift for me . Greatly appreciate your wisdom and experience. LV
Hi Sarah wow 6 babies we having am so excited 😆 ok that’s weird but I am thanks for the update. Been waiting since yesterday to know what going on phew 😅...
Sarah thanks for bringing us in on not only the CUTE, but the USEFUL. You're apt to have to up the # of daily vids to keep up with kids AND the homestead. BTW the ad on today's vid was for a local car agency, will call and say thanks for supporting LTH.
This video was so helpful. I what to get my first goats next year. I have a lot of the infrastructure done on my property. This is so exciting to see the kids.
I've toyed with the idea of getting goats, but I'm not sure we want to take on the responsibility. I love your videos on them because it can really help me decide if they can be part of our future. I'd love a video on the good sides and bad sides of goat ownership, some time if you haven't already made one. Thank you so much.
Thanks, well explained Sarah. I can imagine your excitement you must be, birth is a wonderful thing. I adore getting a new puppy, when it happens. Even though it means a lot of hard work with training, especially potty training, I love being able to cuddle them. Your girls must be excited.
This is very exciting to see these babies on the your homestead, thanks for all the information about goats, this is helpful video. And I did share your video with my daughter who new about goats.
Awesome video, so excited for you guys and your baby goats!!! I can't wait until I can have goats of my own someday. Aiming for 2 years from now. I have been canning with my mom though! Your videos have inspired my mom and I to start canning. We have canned 90 jars so far! So excited!
We're having babies within the next 10 days! This is our second time around and we have 3 pregnant does. The first time around was quite the story. I hope we don't have that much excitement this time!
I have just found your page and it's wonderful. I've been watching a few other people and their families. Jason from Cog Hill mentioned you so here I am. So exciting to be seeing your farm and the coming of the new babies 🤱
Thank You so much for doing what you do... I have not been following you for long. Not sure where it is besides Arizona you came from, but there loss is homesteadings gain!
Ok Sarah, I'm trying so hard to not be mushy here but you are a amazing goat momma!!! I wish I was your neighbor because I would offer to take the over night shift with the girls lol. I have never gotten to meet a newborn baby goat before and I swear that throughout the day I can't get these girls out of my head lol. Are the girls excited? I was wondering if you have to milk them now being so close to labor, and if not when do you stop milking them? I know that all day today and thru till Tuesday waiting for those babies that I will be so nervous giggle!!! I am so grateful to the good Lord for showing me that first video of you guys, well I am praying for easy births and for 6 new kids lol. Jenenda
Honey is absolutely precious! She is so sweet! Prayers for healthy kidding!

Honey getting her back scratched is the sweetest thing ever! She was grinning 😀
This is very informative for new goat keepers! I have had goats for almost 40 years. I still learn a new thing about them every day.
Nothing is grosse, it's nature right? It's nice to hear the honest truth about all of the signs, thank you so much and good luck!!!
I don’t know the first thing about goats. I think they are a wonderful animal. You give a wonderful understanding of the birthing process. Keep up the videos. You and Kevin are wonderful teachers. God press you both. Thoroughly enjoy your videos.
I love your videos. I’m just a city girl with a tiny garden but I’m living vicariously through you all. I can’t wait to see the babies!
We are all so excited and anxious for those babies to get here, can't wait to see them bounding around. They're so cute.

We have been hoping that Honey was pregnant. She just doesn't seem to be progressing like the others. We haven't completely given up hope, though.
