Caroline, thank you verry much for your videos. Your explanations are easy to understand. I've finished my first cinch, thank to you ! You make this work possible and easy ! What a happyness ! (And sorry if there are mistakes on my message. I'm french !)
Hi Caroline! I’m so thankful for your videos. They’re so easy to follow and I just finished my first cinch! Yay! Not perfect, I made mistakes can but I’m pretty proud of it. I’m wondering if you have or can make tutorials for making a roper cinch as well? Also - I’d be forever grateful if I could just buy one of your looms?! Mine is, not that great.. my husband isn’t that great of a carpenter ;)
UBraidIt.com has a good video on roper cinches. No use for me to duplicate a video already out there! Where are you located? My looms are difficult to ship as they are so long. I keep thinking I need to make one that breaks in two. If you are somewhere within striking distance we could send it with someone going your way.
@@carolinespurgeon6016 I live in wolf creek MT - I’m not sure where you are. Depending on shipping, I very likely would be willing to pay for that too :)
@@alluralynn6806 I am in SW Colorado. Winter in Wickenburg, AZ. Know any ropers that go there in the winter? Let me check and see if I can get a rough estimate of what it would cost. Let me see, too, if I know anyone in that area that could transport it. Are you north of Helena?
I think I discussed yarn in part 1- the introduction. The warp is 8 ply mohair and the weft is 2-ply mohair. You need to use mohair or alpaca if you’re going to use the cinch.
Caroline, thank you so much for your videos! I was wondering how people do the 2 or 3 colored triangles/diamonds? Kind of like the outlining but it's more than 1 row. Any tips are greatly appreciated!
Did you watch part 10? That is about using 2 colors on a bar but the same principle works on triangles and diamonds. If that's not what you meant let me know.
I love your videos so much!! Was wondering if you have ever done lettering in the mohair cinchs? I have been trying to get the technique but just can’t seem to get it or find someone with a good video ! Have any advice?
I guess that's going to have to be my next video! It is essential an embroidery technique applied on top of the design. If you look up videos on "chain stitch" that will give you an idea. You can also weave the lettering in but that makes a heavier design. It just depends on the look you want. Thanks for the input.
I thought I replied to you yesterday but it doesn't say I did so if this is a repeat please disregard. As much publicity as Dawn gets for any and every use I wouldn't use Dawn for washing a cinch because it is not designed as a cold water detergent. I would use Woolite or Orvis Paste or any soap designed for washing wool.

@@carolinespurgeon6016 that’s correct, north of helena. I can also, travel down to Bozeman or Billings MT too to meet anyone I’d that helps.
If* that helps lol
Hi Caroline, what kind of yarn and weight of yarn are you using? Is it just any kind of yarn I would like to use? Thank you

Is it ok to use Dawn dish soap mildly?
