“Podhu” is written in Tamil as “பொது” and here it means the “divine-dance-hall” and therefore the Deekshidars are called Podhu-Deekshitars. Podhu here should not be construed as “Common” or “Public” or in any other such connotation. The rules of the Temple are mind boggling. No modern day think-tank could surpass the ingenuity or the skill-set that could develop such a fool-proof system so elaborate, proactive and excellent. I had visited Chidambaram temple twice, when I attended Annamalai University contact classes. Once Karunanidhi was the CM. I was mesmerised by the size of the temple. My father and me met a ninety-year-old sanskrit scholar there, who also spoke impeccable English. He explained to us the significance of the place. Probably he was a Dikshitar. The second time I visited the temple was when Jayalalitha was in power. I felt that the temple was neglected. Even the local civic authorities seemed to have forgotten to maintain some kind of cleanliness in and around the place. The temple premises also were very dirty. Later I read somewhere that Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev and his disciples cleaned the entire temple area. I was great full for Gurudev for his gesture.

In a few places, Temples I have visited follow a tradion. They follow some Admin Rules either by Trust, Brahmins, Government, etc , . This temple was a major player in the Economy of that region in addition to being a religious headquarters. A revival of all Hindu temples and their potent network can possibly make that self sufficient economic impact that Bhaarat needs. The Balaji temple at Tirumala is such a huge corporation like entity now. Possibly, Temples can be those major economical centres that bring Bhaarat back to its best GDP of the world position 🙏

It is not a wonder, our honorable CJ of India is a hindu, honorable CJ of Madras HC is hindu, our Honorable PM is hindu. Not even a dumb person will claim ignorance of the anti hindu movement in tamilnadu, but the above esteemed gentleman should have taken suo moto cognizance of these atrocities, the Indian constitution mandates them to safeguard religion, they don't seem to be both truthful to their conscience as well as the constitution. Why this wailing about immovable property of TN Temples not being controlled by the TEMPLES. It is important that people S/shri TR Ramesh and agood group of other similar wellwishers form a Trust/Society(anything suitable/appropriate) to ensure through legal measures at HC and SC to ensure proper collection of funds to run the temples. The society/trust should collect funds from Sanatanis for this purpose. We are more than capable of dealing with the totally corrupt ruling party of TN.
It is most ironical that a well developed State like Tamilnaad and a seat of most ancient Hindu temples in India, that we see rise of DMK. One only need to go as far as Kanyakumari to the onslaught of Christianity on the Hindu face of India. The rumour has it, that things have gone so bad that the city is on the verge of changing its name to "Kanny Mary".
Repeated efforts by DMK govt to take over the temple under HR&CE Deptt, in contempt of Supreme Court judgements to the contrary, is strongly condemnable and to be resisted fully. The attempts to change Hindu Temples in its essence and character -be it prayers, persons conducting temple proceedings, language used etc in disregard to Agama Shastras or traditions or customs being practiced since time immemorial is totally unacceptable. These are not temples constructed by government and they have no right or claim. This is directed only against Hindu temples while other religious demonstrations enjoy their independence, rights and privileges. HR&CE Deptt of Govt of TN has miserably failed in its duty of protecting temples assets, revenues accruing to temple deity and administering temples. This has resulted in not only erosion of the property and assets but lead to degeneration of temples as a central place for Hindus and Hinduism. This must be immediately checked by the people pushing back the evil efforts of DMK, DK, its associates and the prostelising forces.

Why this wailing about immovable property of TN Temples not being controlled by the TEMPLES. It is important that people S/shri TR Ramesh and agood group of other similar wellwishers form a Trust/Society(anything suitable/appropriate) to ensure through legal measures at HC and SC to ensure proper collection of funds to run the temples. The society/trust should collect funds from Sanatanis for this purpose. We are more than capable of dealing with the totally corrupt ruling party of TN.

It is most ironical that a well developed State like Tamilnaad and a seat of most ancient Hindu temples in India, that we see rise of DMK. One only need to go as far as Kanyakumari to the onslaught of Christianity on the Hindu face of India. The rumour has it, that things have gone so bad that the city is on the verge of changing its name to "Kanny Mary".
Repeated efforts by DMK govt to take over the temple under HR&CE Deptt, in contempt of Supreme Court judgements to the contrary, is strongly condemnable and to be resisted fully. The attempts to change Hindu Temples in its essence and character -be it prayers, persons conducting temple proceedings, language used etc in disregard to Agama Shastras or traditions or customs being practiced since time immemorial is totally unacceptable. These are not temples constructed by government and they have no right or claim. This is directed only against Hindu temples while other religious demonstrations enjoy their independence, rights and privileges. HR&CE Deptt of Govt of TN has miserably failed in its duty of protecting temples assets, revenues accruing to temple deity and administering temples. This has resulted in not only erosion of the property and assets but lead to degeneration of temples as a central place for Hindus and Hinduism. This must be immediately checked by the people pushing back the evil efforts of DMK, DK, its associates and the prostelising forces.
