- Today I solve the Fort Knox Box by Escape Welt
This box is average difficulty I'd say. Some of the dials are tough to move but it's totally wooden in construction so some resistance is to be expected.
I bought this off the ESC WELT Etsy page:

I'm still working on getting good angles and lighting and improving the editing of the videos but I think it's getting better. Happy to take notes if anyone has any thoughts though.

You kept forgetting number 3 was V !
A suggestion for your lighting is to light you're area from above and angled towards where your working on the puzzle and make sure your not sitting in front of any of them so not cast shadows.
Also, the little thing inside the lock at the end is a little stand for the "bubu coin"

Haha yeah, the pressure is more on when recording, I'll get used to it I'm sure. Thanks for the tips about lighting, think I probably need to buy a couple more portable lights for filming so I can achieve that.

Please can you help. I want to check if I have got the right code to open the key: 1- circle with a line 2- B, 3- x, 4- +, 5-22, 6 - square root?
Hey Andy-any tips on putting the box back together? The piece that keeps everything together won't go back in after I solved it to put a gift inside for my husband and I'm stumped!
I tell you what, since doing this a few times since I always put that piece in back to front! So it could be that maybe? Otherwise make sure the small lever at the top is fully pushed in and that the dials are still correct (despite being a bit stiff when solving it they have a habit of shifting more easily once that piece is removed). Hope that helps a bit?
@@andyispuzzled316 Thank you, that was exactly that I needed! (I had the same puzzle solving reaction you did, by the way! Flipped the box over to look for something, and the lid just popped right open! It made me feel like there was more to do with the other half, but I know that's just all inner workings.) I loved all the little misdirections they put onto the box's design, making us feel like there was more to it and overcomplicating things.
@@annagood123good to know I'm not alone with that haha! Yeah some of the symbolism on it and all the interconnecting lines. Definitely threw me off anyway :D
I would like to see more cogs.

This isn't completely solved, the top vault circle come out and reveal more keys and clues

That's literally how the lid is put together to close. There's no glue on this box at all so they used old conventional interlocking pieces. Long story short, you just dismantled the lid and it wasn't part of the puzzle.
Didn't work for me. Did the same. But it did not open when I turned it upside down.

I think the biggest disadvantage of this box is that you can't put it back after you open it. It is recommended that the manufacturer redesign this part.
You can put it back. Just need to juggle it a bit.
The slot above the 3 is a damn Red Herring. It literally is cut perfectly to make you think the long key fits it so you dick with it till you feel stupid. 😑
If you buy put options on gold and with your influence make my theory on money known provoking the gold market crash you would become rich. Being everything else the same a country with no gold is wealthier than a country with gold that protects the mineral inside a vault. Being everything else the same imagine a country with a baker, a fishmonger and a singer with no gold and another with a baker, a fishmonger and a guard to protect gold inside a vault. Which one lives better? Which one is wealthier? The country with no gold is wealthier because the baker and fishmonger get entertained by the singer for their money but the country with gold have to work to pay the guard to protect a mineral that offers no wellbeing or wealth because is useless inside a vault. An analogy would be an innocent kid after saving his pocket money buys a bicycle and his father tells him that he can store the bicycle in a garage unused to sell it in the future, but the rent of the garage would cost him some of his pocket money or he can use and enjoy the bicycle. Which option would the kid choose? There is not benefit in buying to sell because no value is added. Do you understand? The gold becomes wealth when is used, sparing the cost of protection. Because gold is increasingly more expensive to dig out as there is less underground and is increasingly cheaper as there is more on offer overground there would be a point when nobody would be mining the mineral. How much cost the taxpayers to protect gold? Cryptocurrencies are a number but money is transferable debt, a number and a name.
