My go to rifle for nearly the last 30 years is my Vanguard Deluxe in .30-06. I ordered it from a Walmart catalog after getting my re-enlistment bonus in the Army. Love the Back country, might be my retirement rifle one day.
Just purchased a Weatherby Mark V 6.5x300 in custom KCR. I pick it up in 2 days. Can't wait till I get it cleaned and scoped up and hit the range. Have 5 boxes of ammo to try. But first day is just for break in. Then clean again and try all different loads. Gonna be fun
I have 2 weatherby rifles. Vanguard with the custom brown laminate stock in 257 weatherby magnum. And a 1974 Mark V Deluxe 26in barrel, 300 Weatherby magnum. Both shoot well under 1in moa. I also have a Weatherby SA.08 12ga deluxe, that is priced we'll under the quality of the fit and finish of this gun. It patterns amazingly well, and the balance and swing just fits me great. Looking forward to checking out their O/U to get back into clay shooting again!
I tried to order this rifle today in 280 Ackley Improved and there is only one wholesaler that even has it listed. On your website it says 90 day lead time, but you can’t order it.
Pretty sweet rig and a plethora of cartridges to choose from. Hopefully 🤞🏻 like with Steve Rinella’s Meat 🍖 Eater addition there will be lefty’s available. I am sure there’s a cost reason for this but the one thing that I don’t like about the rifle is that every single cartridge has the same 26” barrel, 28” inch with brake. Some of the cartridges available would do great with a 22 in barrel so that they can be suppressed down the road or right out of the box 📦.
Eh, that's when you just gotta build your own. I sold my last weatherby for the same reasons you're talking about. Built a rifle from a custom Terminus action.. never looked back.
I am trying to decide between this rifle and Savage Klym upgraded 110 model in 7 PRC. I would like to know if Weatherby will make an ambidextrous modified thumbhole. I'm a right-hand shooter, and my lady is lefty. Is there an aftermarket thumbhole stock supplier for weatherby?

Even if tgey were made in Japan. Who cares? Japan makes fine really quality rifles. Always have. To be honest the rifles commong outa Japan howas and xbolts are some of the if not best value $ spent. Do sum research please before just making blanket statements like Japan rifles are bad. This isn't China!!!

@weatherby….When are we going to get some more videos on this model?
Have no clue who Remi is but is he Keith Warren's son? Cause I know Keith as I've watched him for decades
No - Remi IS NO RELATION TO Keith Warren. Not in blood or hunting ethics. Remi is a MUCH more ethical hunter.
@@JamesClark-lw6sw cool thanks for the info. Have never heard of him at all.

@JamesClark-lw6sw what's that mean
i wish you guys offer 0 apr financing, i have been dreaming abt one deluxe 460 for a while
This is just a mark v hunter with sponge paint and flute job on the barrel fir way more $. Just buy the mark v hunter model.
Not true.. this is a half a pound lighter and a muzzle break included for not much more and less weight

@REDNECKROOTS no it's not.. it's a half a pound lighter with the muzzle break than the hunter model
Stock needs to be updated. Over the old school grip.. the barreled action isn't even free floated in the stock. So much fail
It's sad they are made in Japan and not here.
Only our Vanguard lineup is made in Japan! All of our Mark Vs and Model 307s are made in Sheridan, Wyoming!
