    Matt - couldn't agree with you more when it comes to compressed air systems. I got my own Jenny air compressor about the same exact time you got yours. I have had compressed air systems and at all my businesses for 40 years, however this is my first Jenny. Since I am now retired I wanted a REAL compressor that would efficiently power all my air tools for my personal Garage and Shop in my home - hence the new larger jenny compressor.
    After owning the Jenny for 4 months I had a Motor failure due to an internal part failure (Jenny purchases the motor from an outside source). Jenny Company (Roger- Tech dept. & Angela in Cust. Svc.) took charge quickly and I had a brand new motor within a week! They sent an authorized service guy to my home within a few days to confirm it could not be repaired on the spot. Long story short, within a week my compressor was up & running again with a brand new motor! :)
    So yes I did have a problem (could happen to ANY product) but the most important point here is they did the "RIGHT THING" and treated me like I bought 100 compressors, not just one. I HIGHLY recommend this Company and would buy another one tomorrow if in the market!

    Miss hearing my relatives talk about when they were growing up and bought something it was well made, built to last, & if broke....could easily repair with relatively inexpensive parts etc... Nowadays, it seems like more and more things are built to be thrown out when they break, not "if" they break😞; which isn't a good thing(especially if spending a pretty penny).
    Thanks Again, & for this vid. It's nice to "see" how to setup things with a person & vids, instead of, lousy instructions & pictures....😃 Also, love EZcoil, as I'm tired of all the scars have on legs & arms from getting whipped/hit when letting go, lol.....
    (Have mine mounted to a wall, as not able to mount to ceiling. Works well and love it). Thanks Again for what you do & for helping when "get stuck"😊
    Cheers, A👍🏻👍🏻

    My hose reel in my garage appears to be similar dimensions and configuration as this one, and I mounted mine on the ceiling. I screwed a large 2x8 block up in the attic between the roof trusses, sitting flat and flush with the top surface of the ceiling drywall. Actually I may have stacked 2 2x8 blocks one on top of each other, and drove several 3" screws through the truss bottom chords into the blocks. Then I used 4 large lag bolts with washers down in the garage, through the holes in the reel, and into the blocking in the attic. That's been at least 12 years ago since I installed the reel and it still works great to this day, with occasional DIY garage use. I've replaced the rubber hose once in 12 years due to dry rotting, but that's it.

    Wouldn't the copper fitting on the hose and the stainless steel fitting on the reel (black and grey reels) cause corrosion because they are dissimilar metals? Would you be able to send the copper fitting with a grey reel upon request?

    Hey Matt, what is your opinion on using a retractable cox reel with a pressure washer hose?

    Mama Moreman escaping! Still cracks me up man! haha. What are the chances they'll come on the podcast or a video? It'd be cool to see your parents more on the show channel.

    The schematics on the website last picture do not show the details of the spacing. Should update it to where it's in a downloadable PDF file to print out and use as a template.

    Even though I don't need this product and some other products you sell, I just let all 24:40 of this video play in the background while I do something else so you get credit for a full watch time. Its the least I can do.

    Can I use this Coxreel with the blue OG water hose reel with a Kranzle pressure washer? I hate the manual aspect of rewinding the hose myself.

      No, that won't work. This is only rated for 300psi.

    These seem to be the real deal. I know I can go look and probably will but do they sell a swivel plate for these. My current hose reel and electrical reel have swivels so I can mount them to a wall and move side to side. Also thanks for bringing these awesome products to our attention. I would have just gone back to northern tool and bought another “cheaper” solution.

      I have a 20 amp Cox EZ-Coil power cord reel and it's amazing. You absolutely want one. Don't have to worry about it hitting the cars and you cannot find 20 amp consumer grade cord reels.

    Will we be able to get replacement parts for these reels? I want to get these for my shop but I've had a hard time getting any parts for reels I've had in the past

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  6 лет назад

      I should be able to fully support the line. Replacement springs etc. will all become a part of the future service. I'd like to become the source for that stuff. It's going to take some time, but it's part of the plan.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  6 лет назад +1

      The problem with doing that would be the nightmare of warranty issue and returns. I've found stuff like this is best left to buying when you can. Just wait until you can do it right. At least, that's the path that I have taken.

    • @norcalsrt1214

      I get it i agree on allot of that u pay for quality that's why I'm saving for one of ur custom pressure washer install kits. I try to buy as much as I can from you rather then Amazon sure I pay for the shipping from u vs prime being free but I know it helps to support the channel I love to watch and learn from.
