Same conclusion we came to so daughter bought one very recently. What a hassle all around though, she ordered one from our dealer & I think they sold it to someone else but without a VIN number, which she did not get she has no proof. We did find exactly what she wanted though near NYC literally the exact car she ordered. Got the color & everything. We were chasing RAV4's in the Tri State area only to make it to the dealer & they sold it right off the carrier. They did not know she had stellar credit. Yes, she paid the premium too.
Scotty said to expect to replace the hybrid battery at 100-150K miles. At the cost of thousands of dollars, I have no idea how people find that to be financially or environmentally superior option

I'm approaching 100K miles on my2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE and I love it I've never had to replace the Hybrid battery and it's still running as strong as day one and I much rather replace a hybrid battery maybe once every 15-20 years if needed rather than constantly replacing A serpentine belt, brake pads and rotors, starters and alternators 😂 I've had not 1 single issue that is always mentioned about Hybrids 🤷🏽♂️yes I take care of my car oil change every 5k and I'm always on top of all fluids needed. Honestly I don't EVER want the headache of a regular gas engine vehicle! I'm much happier with a Hybrid the only issue and honestly it's NOT in my opinion, is the HV battery! but honestly im ok with replacing it 15years later (if) I'm still deciding to keep the car Honestly if anyone is thinking about getting a hybrid Go FOR IT THEY ARE NOT ENDLESS MONEY PITS! 😂 THEY ARE ACTUALLY VERY RELIABLE AND VERY MAINTENANCE FRIENDLY MUCH MORE THAN A REGULAR GASOLINE CAR! HYBRID CARS ARE AWESOME AND AS A BONUS THE "SYNERGY DRIVE SYSTEM" FOR TOYOTA HYBRID VEHICLES IS WAY TO SMART TO LET YOU MESS ANYTHING UP SO DONT BE FOOLED BY FOOLS TALKING BAD ABOUT HYBRIDS They ARE NOT BAD AT ALL!! IM NOT BASHING ON SCOTTY Here EITHER SO DON'T TURN THIS INTO SOMETHING ITS NOT! HE ACTUALLY HELPED ME FIX A LOT OF VEHICLES BY SHARING WAYS TO WORK ON HIS VIDEOS! KEEP IT UP SCOTTY YOUR AWESOME! 👍 (MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS CHECK THE HV FAN FILTER KEEP IT CLEAN AND YOUR BATTERY WILL LAST A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME!) What a hassle all around though, she ordered one from our dealer & I think they sold it to someone else but without a VIN number, which she did not get she has no proof. We did find exactly what she wanted though near NYC literally the exact car she ordered. Got the color & everything. We were chasing RAV4's in the Tri State area only to make it to the dealer & they sold it right off the carrier. They did not know she had stellar credit. Yes, she paid the premium too.
yep
Scotty said to expect to replace the hybrid battery at 100-150K miles.
At the cost of thousands of dollars, I have no idea how people find that to be financially or environmentally superior option
@@kamakaziozzie3038 the question is how many thousands of dollars. 2 okay, 4? hmmm. All cars are super pricey today. Very few new cars are cheap AND reliable.
I have a 2008 Camry with 200,000 miles 1ZZ-FE 1.8l 4 cylinder. I’m keeping it until rusts out which may not be much longer here in the rust belt.
This is an editing masterclass. Other content creators are shocked.
He shocked the creator industry!!!! 🤣😂

👍 (MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS CHECK THE HV FAN FILTER KEEP IT CLEAN AND YOUR BATTERY WILL LAST A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME!) NEGLECTED FAN FILTERS "WILL" RESULT IN HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY FAILURE! OTHER THEN THAT THIS ENTIRE SYSTEM IS PRETTY MUCH BULLETPROOF! 💯💪💯
How much is Toyota paying you?
I don't drive now, but I still think that they need to keep doing The V-8 Tundra.
Dealers agree, that are sought after just as much as my V6 Camry.
It is amazing how many people want a Pickup that gets 11mpg🤑 reliability must be everything in a Truck@@toriless
@@Kevin-bi9nfyeah nobody buys a pickup for gas mileage everybody wants a pickup for reliability and longevity The 5.7 . It's frame has nine cross members this is really a 5/8 not a half ton pickup in the 4.3 rears this is the last of the great pickups.

I’ve owned 10 Toyotas. And worked for southeast Toyota. The best engines they made were in the previa. And the old 22R 4 cylinder trucks. Bulletproof
Very well put and organized video thanks scotty
Couldn't go wrong with the old 20R and 22R engines they lasted forever, and could take a beating
And were relatively inexpensive compared to modern mass produced engines.
Yes they were great engines,
What do you think of the 1NZ-FE?
It’s a good thing they didn’t sell that many since they lost a ton of money on each one
I think the 1GR 4.0 l v6 should be honored here Scotty. I have one runs like new burbs no oil, 217,000 miles.👍
The 22RE used in Toyota pickups were (and still are) bullet proof if maintained....
Not as durable as the '1975-80 20R. 20R had an extra durable double row timing chain and it's smaller diameter cylinders enabled the cylinder head gasket to seal better, longer.
I've had a Prius for almost 2 decades now. They are super reliable vehicles!
How many miles dog? Maybe thinking of looking at used ones. Currently In a 07 scion tc
keep the scion unless you need gas mileage@@Faylus
But EVERYONE on the road HATES you.
those cars are so dangerous in the winter or when it's windy even!
