my first nursery muscadines were 40 odd yrs ago i knew nothing except put them in the ground all i had was rail fence so they grew on that i did have irrigation i was amazed at the size of the fruit when started bearing (1and 1/4 in dia ) when it came to pruning if looked too long i cut it off it all came back next year always loaded i moved 25 yrs ltr they were still going strong they were bronze scuppernong s i thing the wild vines near by helped polinate???? forgot how to spell LOL
if you have ever tried wild muscadines they are very good mother nature takes care of them no pruning no fert. just rain water . makes you wonder ?????
So what should you not do that could kill the vine? I have about a quarter acre that needs to go, lol
