- Just because it says "Dry Clean Only" doesn't mean you have to! In this Mominar, I show you how to clean your dry-clean only items without having to pay for professional cleaning.

It seems the clothes are not being washed but just tossed in the dryer with a dryer sheet to smell good. But is it actually washing the clothes? Doesn't seem like it.
Perhaps a better way of saying it is 'refreshed'. It does diminish dirt and smells for dry-clean only items. And what is more, It is a quick and inexpensive option for professional dry cleaning, which uses chemicals and does not involve water either.

@@calinewsdude this can be tricky. When the label specifically says Do Not Dry Clean, there could be a few reasons like the fabric or the dyes could be ruined by the chemical solvents. However, if the material is that delicate, a washing machine may be too rough for it as well. Are there any other instructions on how to clean it? If not, what is the material made of? How delicate is it? Usually, a gentle hand wash in cold water and line dry is okay, but if there is delicate beading or heavy dye, or it's waxed then you might only be able to spot clean it. If it is new, you can ask the store where you bought it or go to a dry cleaner and ask their opinion. The effort you make will depend on how important this shirt is to you. Hi Kaisy, I would let them air out for a couple of days, preferably in the fresh air, if possible. That should help a lot. The cleaning cloth that comes with the at-home dry cleaning kit is lightly scented. It smells nice. That should take care of the problem. Good luck!

I have a 100% silk shirt that requires dry clean, will this method be safe on silk?

Will this shrink my clothes? I just bought them and don’t want them to shrink. I see that some require a high heat setting, this is what I am worried about.
No. The bag will protect the garment from shrinking.

would this also apply to LINEN fabric? Wouldn't the linen shrink in the dryer due to heat? That's my only concern
The garment will be protected when it is inside the bag that comes with the product. It will be fine.

You will just set it on Timed Dry. 20-30 minutes. Follow the instructions on the package.

Can you clean a dry clean a comforter with this method?
If it can fit inside the bag, you can refresh it. Most comforters can be machined washed. If the tag on yours says that you can, you can take it to a laundromat and use one of their big washers.

So no fear of the delicate clothes shrinking on medium heat?
It needs to be inside of the drycleaning bag. That will protect it from the hear.
Does this work for men’s suits?
Yes. But it will not look like it will when it comes from the dry cleaner. It won't be pressed and crisp, especially if it is crumpled and dirty to start. But, this method will freshen it up and will be completely presentable. The product does come with a stain remover which allows you to spot clean any stains.
