    I'm glad to hear that they can't survive in captivity, because that means that people can't add them to the cruel pet trade. The only problem with that is if tarsier populations ever need to be increased in the wild, no zoo will ever be able to have a breeding program to help tarsiers. Unless it's done under close supervision in the forests, in areas that are strictly protected by law.

    all this time i thought tarsier only in the philipines bohol never knew there are some in borneo

      Sabah is really owned by Sultanate of Sulu. over all, Sabah is part of the Philippines. Not Sabah, Malaysia.

      Philippine tarsier can be found in Samar, Leyte, Bohol, Mindanao, Basilan, Biliran, Maripipi island, Siargao, Dinagat and Possibly Samal islands(Near in Borneo and Sulawesi).
      Other 12 Species of Tarsiers can be found in Southern Sumatra, Borneo and Sulawesi(Celebes). All found only in Southeast Asian Islands.
