I first saw this video on 2022 someday. And I made a decision to learn piano myself that day, although I was a software engineer, and I never learn piano before. One year later, today, I already could play Passacaglia and Mariage d’amour, and other pieces of my favorite songs. When I almost forgot this video, it comes to my RUclips page again. So I give a like and say thank you. I could enjoy my music now.

So far this is the best version of Passacaglia piano. The music is not too fast like other players, so we really can walk together with the music and immerse in the beauty of the tones. Thanks em Minh Ngoc Ng.
Every other version of this is played as though the pianist has an urgent appointment somewhere else. In my humble opinion, This is the perfect tempo. Lets you listen to every note. Beautiful is as beautiful does.. 10/10

I totally agree. I've listened to at least 15 versions today, and this is the best. Lola's is #2 only because of her feeling when she plays, but this arrangement & tempo is perfect. All the others are hurried and shallow.

I've experienced this passacaglia many time. In my belief, Ms. Minh makes the piece truly come alive at her hand, with heartfelt and deep emotion with every key stroke. Well done.
She has a lovely touch that matches the melody. Like a peaceful melancholy mood.

I like this version the most. I could feel music.
I want this to be played at my funeral when my time comes. It is such a beautiful piece of music and freeing. Even if my time is 20 years from now I would love this to be played.

If you're kind of a medium talented person , you should be able to play it within 3 months or - at most - one year. It's not difficult.
Oh My Word! I was thinking the same thing! It is so passionate, I am a very passionate person, I am 70 years old , My parents lived to be in their 90 s .
Music is God's language. It doesn't matter who composes and who interprets. It's the reflection of one's soul.

Mình không biết là đã nghe đi nghe lại bản nhạc này bao nhiêu lần trong 2 năm qua nữa. Thật sự cách đánh của Ngọc da diết, nhẹ nhàng, mơ màng cũng đầy sâu lắng, đây cũng chỉ là cảm nhận chủ quan của một người không biết đàn như mình. Cám ơn Ngọc đã thả những phím đàn thật đẹp cho cuộc sống, bộ đầm cũng rất trang nhã. Mong là sẽ có thêm nhiều video khác từ Ngọc hơn nữa.

Just beautiful! My cousin plays the piano, and she's now dying of cancer. I played this youtube video for her, and she said she was at peace-----the playing is heartfelt, superb, and timeless. Music does have the power to soothe even when medicine has failed.

Dedication will be required, but it will be worth the challenge.
@@michaelhelme3575 My piano lessons extended to about 14 months of lessons. Parents couldn't afford more. I used to go next door to the neighbors' house to practice on their piano in the basement. I do have distinct regrets about not being able to take more lessons, but when you're 12 years old with three sports-minded brothers you don't have much control over the finer things in life. Now, I'm crippled with rheumatoid arthritis, so youtube is definitely a godsend to listen to talented pianists play and love what they're doing.
Maybe in the next life I won't have a harp but a piano----might shake up the divine upstairs.

Уж и не помню, сколько раз и в исполнении скольких пианистов слушал эту пьесу, но зацепила за живое именно эта прекрасная девушка! Потому что звучит лиричнее и девушка харизматичнее!

@@АлексейБережной-й2ж если играет одним пальцем, то не особо она и личность в плане творческом. ... Я имел в виду то, что зритель, скорее именно слушатель в данном случае, оценивает саму игру, собственно интерпретацию произведения, а не персону, внешние и другие данные и обстоятельства исполнителя.
@@dimitri9305 Я не о личности в плане творческом, а в плане человеческом. Согласитесь, личность человека проявляется во всем, что он делает, а в искусстве особенно.
А что именно оценивает слушатель, сильно зависит от его опыта, степени увлеченности, знаний, да и статуса тоже. Согласитесь ли, что простой слушатель, коллега-музыкант и член жюри несколько по-разному будут оценивать?
L'unisson d'une œuvre extraordinaire et d'une pianiste certes non professionnelle, mais superbe et tellement douée. Elle et son piano dégagent tune atmosphère magique! Beaucoup de talents reconnus n'arrivent pas à ce niveau là. Chapeau!

@@lokekennee8850 good question - of course it is a matter of taste, but some pieces have more effect in terms of enjoying impressions of tone by playing them slow and expressive with the right articulation

What a great performance of the piece, coupled with excellent recordings of the piano sound and the visual aspects of the room.
I beg to differ. I was actually searching the entire comments section to see if anybody had a problem with the sound quality. The playing is very soothing and nuanced, but the recording quality is somewhat lacking. There is significant audible distortion through most of the recording, which likely could've been avoided with better equipment or better skill in the recording/mixing/mastering chain...
It might not be so apparent on mediocre speakers/headphones, but on good quality ones it actually makes it hard to enjoy the playing.

@unebonnevie what does that have to do with anything? In your view, I should be a recording engineer with a portfolio for you to analyze, so you would allow me to remark upon the shortcomings of this particular recording?
I'm sorry, but the fact that I don't record music doesn't change the fact the there are some sound quality issues with this recording. I did very much enjoy the playing and visuals. The distortion took away a bit from the audio enjoyment. It is what it is :)
