Great video. The bulls team defense was insane. This video just told me that one, no great offensive players in the NBA history can be stopped with single coverages (not even by MJ, one of the greatest defenders), and two, no matter how great the offensive player is, if he gets doubled and his teammates can't hit the easier shots created for them, the great player cannot do anything about it

The 91 Bulls defense was incredible, arguably top 5 all-time. They were quick and disruptive. Even if Barkley could get his points, he's always thinking of MJ or Pippen trying to block or strip him. MJ was so disruptive, youre always thinking of him when he's around.
And people try to say double teaming down low with the weakside defender would get called as illegal defense. Illegal defense was not called very often back then. That's like saying the rules today don't allow for carrying the ball or traveling when you know damned well you see refs let it go the majority of the time. Especially carrying I don't know when was the last time I saw that get called and it happens almost every play.
I agree the illegal defense rule wasn't called as often as people think, MJ was doubled a LOT that could have been easily called illegal that wasn't. But it did create a good iso game which suited MJ very well. I'm not saying MJ wouldn't kill it out there today with the softer calls, no hand checking and a much more open lane due to the 3 sec defense rule. But to be fair the illegal defense rule did suit MJ's game too.

This was against the so called “superior” zone defense that Jordan “never” had to go up against in his era (even tho several teams used zone against the Bulls)
