Instructors know that being a prick, especially with inexperienced shooters, will drive that person to either another range thus losing the range they work at a future customer and/or deter that person from wanting to buy a gun and learn to use it. I remember when I first took my wife at that time (girlfriend) shooting, she had so much fun that now she loves to shoot and do competition shooting (bulleye and PRS), while I mostly do practical shooting competition like USPSA, IPSC, PCSL, and hit factor matches.
Yeah... gun range guys are extremely kind, some of the calmest teachers I have ever had have been in a rifle club in the Junior NRA. Below 18? You can shoot a rifle for free! No need to pay for ammo either. Grab a pal or go solo, it is fun stuff. You can just knock, ask if they will have you. It is very much like a Church. If they see youth they are excited... wait that sounds bad.... what I mean is they want you younger generation to keep what they love alive... because it totally is dying which is scary. How many 12 y/o boys have stupid moms who would not let them shoot under any circumstance The one black kid in my boy scout troop was the only one that didn’t come along for guns aa his mother didn’t like them... and she literally built him up to break every black stereotype... always in a vest with tie, Politics shouldn’t persuade you one way. You can believe no one should have guns and rent one in a controlled range... they make airguns too if that really makes a difference but it is sorta silly... airguns can shot pellets far larger than 22 cal. 50 cal pellet slugs can be bought online right now unless the state you live in is New Jersey,,, hollow points are also banned only in this state and it really is asinine.
id personally love to teach people how to shoot. safety is important always, but shooting can be more fun than just super serious carry everyday people. as an edc person lol its great to see people train, esp people who are in the unlikely crown like emily

Only the doctors and lawyers make as much but they are also 100x more stressed out and have had drug and alcohol issues 😅😅
this was a fun watch from someone that has shot guns my whole life. first gun i shot was a marlin 22lr when i was 3 and my dad had to hold up the buttstock for me.
i always tell new shooters to stand as if they are facing a strong wind,one foot slightly forward, other largely back,body at approximately 45° oblique angle ,lean forward as if a gale is pushing you back... also that's the basic stance to start walking and shooting. and yeah shouldering really means put it in your pectoral muscle... trust me,literally shouldering something like a shotgun is gonna leave you hurting for days.
