Great advice for incoming pharmacy students! I think how to transition into graduate school and studying for exams is key for P1 students.
Do Pharmacy if you have spent time within the Pharmacy arena and you understand what Pharmacy is about. You will pay regardless of the high career field you go into. $100,00-200,00.
My program was 3 months from May-August then I enrolled in an online program at North carolina A&t
Do you know about BPS exam for pharmacy specialties. If you know then please make a video on this topic.
You didn't share the link of videos related to career paths.
Hi Bianca , how get high GPA ? ,I already in second year and gotten B,C+ an usually … that is make me sad 😞 I feel like being in pharmacy school is not shape of me ,,
Hi Bianca! I'm a future pharmacy student who plans on applying to pharmacy school. However I am conflicted on how I should acquire pharmacy experience.
It's a little expensive, but do you think it would be worth it to get a pharmacy technician license before pharmacy school or should I just volunteer instead?
Also would I be more competitive if I do get my pharmacy technician license?
Not sure if this is too late but, walgreens and some chain drugstores train their employees for free. Would the exper help u to get into pharmacy school? I have no ide
Pharmacy tech experience will help you get into the school, but I can tell you that I didn't have any and still got in. Pre reqs and GPA are a much bigger deal as tech experience is about like the PCAT; it doesn't necessarily correlate with doing well in pharmacy school.
As far as jobs later, tech means basically nothing. They will care more about where you interned than anything for retail positions and somewhat about letters of rec.
Residencies care about pharmacy school GPA and letters of rec.
Industry cares more about research, publications, and, again, letters of rec.
Just like she said, networking is important because everybody wants references and those letters
Waiting for your new video 😉
As usual really helpful 😉
thank you for your continued feedback!!!
@@FocusRx most welcome
Thanks for the advice ma'am, I will like to know difference between undergraduate degree pharmacy Mpharm and Pharmacy Bpharm and which one is better.
Hey you are amazing in providing such a good knowledge about this field which is u think very rare and I love your contant they way you present it keep growing and keep educating.
Love from India ❤️
Thank you for your feedback and I hope it’s helpful!!!
What does mean GPA please?
grade point average
I'm a retired pharmacist who worked in all fields of pharmacy & industry. This video is nonsense. Pharmacy is now an 8 yr committmment (& 9 or 10yrs if you go the residency route to become a specialized hospital pharmacist), not 6. Her points on networking, how to study, etc are all ridiculous. I hope a student thinking about pharmacy school doesn't listen to her.
Best advice - don't go to pharmacy school unless you want to go $200k in debt and get shit on in retail everyday of your life
You sound like an actual pharmacist
Don’t do pharmacy. Not worth 200k
Who told you?
Don't mislead anyone.
@@aqib1259 what?
@@aqib1259 its not misleading in anyway. Its the truth
Then everything is useless. If we don't work Hard for it.
