Great video. I remember using a straight blade for many years and then finally getting so annoyed with not being able to scoop the left over windrows so I converted to a vplow and never looked back

It's ok, everyone has a right to get experience. Better to build someone up then tear em down.
We re all in the same business aren't we?
Good luck in our new snow season.....

Good job getting your hustle on. Your skills in the truck and with the camera will improve over time and the naysayers probably will never post their video of how to do it properly anyway. I have been running a V-Plow for 9 seasons, never pushed with a straight plow. However, there is a point with every plow where there is too much snow and it starts bleeding off both sides regardless of the size bite you take. You can avoid a lot of extra shovel work around the curbs by starting your cut-in a blades width away from the curbs or however far away you have to be away for you to not windrow it off your leading edge onto your curbs. You can then take several small bites to windrow it away from the curbs. Don't be afraid to let go of your initial line and start curving away if it starts trailing off the leading edge onto curbs.

you are doing fine! good practice for when you have a scoop plow. everything goes straight and a lot less dribbles/ tailings

you can only use half of the blade windrowing so it doesn't run off

Don’t you know to angle it and only use about half of the blade or even less so you don’t have the windrows?

When you get more experience plowing. Get rid of that toy of a plow and get a Fisher if you like trip edge. Or a Boss if you like full blade trip.

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 6.4 box 4x4 with Winston extra heavy duty springs and Bilstein 5100 front and rear. Boss, Western and snow dog are all nearly the same but snow dog has the best weight of the three in the 6-8 foot range. Snowdog md2 8-ft is only 440 lb, could that be installed on my truck?
