To get four Patti's, on double cloth means folded once only, you take 3/4 inch on one side and on the other side take 3/4 inch on other side and join it
You will get four pattis

Wow, it's a great idea. Loved it. Too much required as readymade kurtis mostly don't have margins. We used to correct it by adding cloth on the sides which is a very tideous job. Really wonderful and easy way out and above it this way enhanced the look of kurti instead of looking like a jugaad
