Youu guyss aren't ever allowed to end this. Ever ever. Don't even ever die. Just live forever and keep releasing pods. Bring more and more value and insights. I am not certain. Gimme your agreement sam and shaan with a comment "yes we'll always keep making pods until we all move to Mars one day". I hope we never move there
Not telling us what the fight is about is like mom and dad saying “it’s nothing that concerns you. Mom and dad just get carried away sometimes” Then next year the judge is telling me I have to decide whose podcast to listen to.
How to make Sam never argue with you again? Make a fight, and then podcast about it. Level of discomfort seen on Sam's face here says everything :D Well played Shaan!
Pure speculation here - but I think the animosity could stem from the fact that Shaan was the one who initially created the podcast, and I personally think that he is the better podcaster. Yet Sam is the one who is getting the most value from it by the tremendous growth of Hampton.
By speculating, we are giving them INFINITY more reasons they could/should be fighting. That's a really bad idea. Because one of those reasons could be something they hadn't thought of, and ends up ending the podcast.
I rarely watch episodes when only one of them is in, I like the chemistry between them Sam is direct and honest (very authentic) while shaan is calculated and an amazing storyteller (sometimes feels fake/unauthentic to me)
I wanted to add that the premise of the book you are referring to Shaan (The body keeps the score) is that traumatic experiences are not just stored in our memories but are also physically embedded in our bodies. These stored traumas can affect our mental and physical health, leading to various symptoms like chronic pain, anxiety, and emotional numbness. The book argues that to fully heal from trauma, it's important to address both the mind and the body, using therapies that engage the body as well as traditional talk therapy. For exmaple, when something really scary or upsetting happens, your body tries to protect you. But sometimes, the feelings from that scary moment get stuck inside your body, kind of like how a knot gets stuck in a shoelace. These stuck feelings can make your body feel tight, hurt, or even make your tummy upset. Even if you don’t think about the scary thing anymore, your body might still feel it. That’s how the body can "trap" emotional trauma.
In the early days, this pod used to hit every single time. Now, they really look like they are forcing themselves to do it. There is a lot of filler content, episodes where they just dial it in, and they have obviously contracted to reduce their involvement (by doing solo host episodes). They're still doing some bangers, like the Hormozi episode, but they've definitely lost their 'first album' raw energy, especially the way the shows are now overproduced. These days, it feels like they are doing the pod because they know it makes them successful in their other business interests. Come on guys, do it for the love of it!
It’s easy to say “Do it for the love!” But you can’t make yourself love something that you’re not into. Especially if you once loved it, and now you’re in a different place in your life and no longer love it.
Not long ago I was thinking about how you two are human and it was a possibility that the pod one day came to an end. And how sad that would be. Today we got a hint of that. But you also reassured that you are by far the best podcast there is. You are great humans. Love to both of you.
I felt the tension at the start of this pod and then many minutes later it felt like there was less and less of it, which is great. It reminded me of the fights with my brothers! Wish you guys the best!
This pod only works because of the both of you, neither of you should feel like you have one up on the other, your personalities complement each other and you're a great team!
I didn’t have time to listen to the audio podcast this morning so I went to RUclips to read the comments and see if it was just click bait. Now I don’t have to watch or listen to the drama. Better things to focus on today - but please don’t stop the pod it the best one going.
They never said what their argument was about. It was probably about who their favorite CEO is. Sam was probably like “Zuck is the best CEO” and then Shaan said “no it’s Elon” and it spiraled from there
Shaan, I’ve been a super fan - and even invested $$$ in your fund. But dude, this didn’t land. Felt like a theoretical cop out versus practical. In business a simple - here’s where I f-ed up, here’s how I will work to make sure it doesn’t happen again - goes a long way. This didn’t have that. I felt bad for Sam. Feels like someone was playing short term games with long term people. Anyway, I love you guys. Hope you can solve it.
You guys really got me! You made me put aside my priority tasks to watch this podcast first thing on a Monday morning because of the title, lol. You totally freaked me out!
A better episode would had been. "we had an argument as most do and this is how we got through it" This seemed more like a public apology for a private matter.
shaan does not listen he just keeps talking. he is like on adderall or has just tooo much energy lol. just LIIIISTEN to sam and let him talk. don't talk about you you you you you. simple. my top 3 podcasts btw!!
Great episode - thoughtful, sincere, insightful. Love where Sam jumps in with "how long were you together, how long broken up, and how long back together" - always filling in the details. Thanks.
You work for 40vrs to have $1m in your retirement, Meanwhile some people are putting just $10k in a meme coin for just few months and now they are multi millionaires. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life.
It must be the time of the year because I recently acted out instead of just letting something go like I normally would. Glad I’m not the only one who makes conflict when it doesn’t always feel the best.
Shaan I loved your approach of how you came to the conclusion that your friendship is more valuable than a disagreement that turned into an argument. Depending on where you are on a mountain each person will have a different view point. It doesn't matter what you see because the other person may see it slightly different. So, we have to agree to disagree of each person's view point. Therapeutic making up was enlightening. I learned a lot about how I should reason things out with myself. It helps you let go of the drama so you can move on. Thank you for sharing. Sam you were humble in this session. Kiddos to you. You saw the value in your friendship also. Now, the two of you get back to work. We have more to learn from you down to earth rich guys and the conversations are fire to listen to. Hugs, 🤗🤗😊🌺
Sam, check this book out. Half-Lived Life Overcoming Passivity And Rediscovering Your Authentic Self by John Lee It totally had my number and I listen to you guys podcast all the time while I work and paint and I just wanted to share it to you. You guys are the best, Andrew Jackson
There are so many bad business podcasts out there I've been inspired to start my own channel that tells the 100% truth the gurus won't tell you. In fact I'm probably the only channel that does so.
Pleaaassseeee… handle it guys… we need MFM… and I really hope that you guys are happy working together in the future because it has become so important for us…
Maybe they should add 1-2 regular co-hosts so they can each take a break every now and again...lots of changes in their lives since they started the pod. That's the benefit to All-In is that they don't all have to be there every week to keep it going. If MFM went to the All-In model of a longer-form 1 week episode I'd be pretty hyped.
Great episode, one important feedback: John Gottman didn’t do all of that alone, he only started being that successful with love lab etc by doing it with his wife Dr Julie Gottman. They contributed equally to the research as a team. I feel she should get as much credit as he does.
we only do it for the love of it. But it's possible the early eps had a diff vibe or topic mix? What did you like about the early eps -- any specific bits you remember liking?
The way I see it, this pod might not have worked without Sam or Shaan, it’s the chemistry that makes it work. You guys are hilarious together. MFM is Shaan and Sam, it’s been both of you since the very beginning and it’s as much as Sam’s podcast as it is Shaan’s at this point, that much should be evident.
Shaan is the type of guy who will create a 5 step plan after having an argument and make a pod about it.
and put it in a newsletter
i dont like the title.... not at all
Yeah the title takes away from the value of this very insightful conversation
Agree. It should have been titled something like:
"The reasons why this is not the end of the pod"
It's still catchy, but you don't feel fooled.
I never hoped to get clickbaited this much
I'm 9 minutes in. Think I'll skip the rest.
I hope we never move there
I’m confident if they did end the pod, some fan would use their recordings to make an AI version of them to continue it forever 😂
Not telling us what the fight is about is like mom and dad saying “it’s nothing that concerns you. Mom and dad just get carried away sometimes”
Then next year the judge is telling me I have to decide whose podcast to listen to.

how can you end this POD before hitting 1 million subs ..its literally called My First Million

My thoughts exactly.
Exactly 🎯🎯🎯
They fought beautifully though
Shaan mentioned the wisdom of his trainer again 🥳. Bring him on the pod!
Yessss need to hear off the trainer
Yall have one of the best pods ever. No more fighting please
Never clicked so fast in my life . I’m 1 sec in guys don’t tug at the heartstrings
You must reveal the reason and the specifics of the fight. Will help us understand the concepts mentioned better
the key to a great partnership is to remember it’s you two vs the problem… not you vs the other
This podcast can’t end. I’ve been working out for months in case I ever get on the pod so Sam will comment on my Calves
This episode could be summed up and titled as; ‘San Fran bros over-intellectualising an argument’.
Love the pod for years now but this is too funny
But that’s why we love them lol because we over-intellectualize everything too 😂
Honestly this is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever watched. This is not how men settle an argument.
Guys you are dropping so much value in these pods please dont shut the pod down🙏🏻

I haven’t seen the end but I bet it was because Shaan was hyped to have Alex Hormozi on the pod but Sam thought it would f up with their brand!
Interesting theory. Although I thought Hormozi had already been on the pod before? And how do you think it would ruin their brand?
This feels like two LLMs "fighting".
