    Hmm? I have no problem with my LG (crossed fingers) to date, especially using its many programs and Alexa controls. It was also so easy to set up. Good luck and keep pressing the buttons, you'll get it.

    What are the benefits of adding my TV to the APP? What is the purpose? To get rid of the remote? Please advise those of us who are technologically inept.

      Hi, great question! Yes, when you connect your TV to the ThinQ app, you can control your TV from your mobile phone. You'd be able to launch apps, share content, and much more straight from your mobile phone! ^Chris

    Can't we connect without wireless router?. When i clicked on add tv it is asking for a password and i am not sure which password do i need to enter there. I believe it is a router password and i don't have a router. Hope you understand my situation.

    Before connecting, ensure the LG Connect Apps on your TV are turned on. You can see it on the setting then network.

    It says in the marketing that I can broadcast content from my phone to my LG, but I seem to be able to do is use my phone as a remote. What’s the point of that? I have a remote.

    I did everything as guided, but I'm unable to connect my TV to the app. It won't connect again . I reinstalled the app, and now I can't connect my TV. When I enter the PIN from the TV screen to the app, it every time gives me error...

    I still can not connect to my LG C2. The TV does not pop up in the TV manually Add function of app. Also support phone number does not help. Note: I updated, deleted and readded app, logged on both to the same LG account and Wi-Fi, re-started phone and TV, Registered TV. Please help!

    It was working fine before then it suddenly stop. It is connected but my TV wouldnt turn on or off. Neither the remote on the app is not working. Tried to uninstall the app and log in again now it’s asking to add a device. I tried the manual method to add the device but it cant find my TV and also did the QR scanning. It found my TV but the screen on my app is freezing it wouldnt allow me to add. So, how do I resolve this?

    Can I connect phone network directly to the tv? I have tried but it shows that both mobile and tv are connected to the same network but problem is that I have only one smartphone

    I had to turn off the VPN on my phone to get the ThinQ app to connect to TV. So if you also have a VPN, try turning it off while using the app.

    So since the workers at LG are special, i found something that might help, when your device is connected via blutooth it will be ready for sound sharing i think you have to forget this device “tv” from blutooth , then search in screen mirroring for device after and it should work it doesnt work when you do both though , clearly a bunch of old people own these new tvs and just dont gaf😂

    It is really annoying that if the app is downloaded and installed on, in my case an iPhone 13, it defaults to Spanish just because I happen to live in Costa Rica with no possibility to change to English or other language. Why on earth would someone do that just because the app is used in a certain market? Not cool LG. Not cool.

    I have my phone and the tv on the same WiFi and I have the app on my phone where it allows connections through WiFi and I still can’t connect to the tv. There isn’t a QR code on the tv. My phone has been connected before but then it kicked me off and my wife’s phone can connect to the tv. I’ve tried so many different times to get it connected and I’ve gone over every setting on the tv and still nothing works. My advice to everyone is don’t buy lg tvs

    I’ve had a few tvs but the LG I bought at Costco is garbage. Confusing system, constantly buffers, I spend most otherwise quiet evenings yelling what a piece of shit it is at it.
