This movie was so much better that High School Musical. Niko actively encouraged others to rock it instead of it being a byproduct of him doing his own thing *coughTROYcough*. Yeah he did the selfish thing a couple times during the movie but at the same time he learned from that and was actively trying to help people around him learn their own strengths.
Any growth in Troy was accidental and in the end spurred on by others not self motivation. He did the thing he wanted in the end because others made it possible not because he chose it.
And I actively dislike that Spectacular! only has a cult following. I’m sorry to the HSM generation. Y’all got shortchanged.
Just goes to prove the point about Disney having stagnant writing and directing. This round, Nickelodeon won.
