    Learning to fly the turboprops in MSFS is the next logical step after mastering the smaller prop-based planes. In this video, I'll cover the important aspects you need to know about before you fly one of these turbine-powered machines. I'll be using the TBM930 but many of the concepts apply to all the turboprops in the game.

    I love this plane. Another nice handling plane I've been practicing with is the grand caravan.

    Thank you for the video! yes toughest thing I've found with turboprops 'the otter' managing my approach speed...almost 200 hours in the otter and it still gets me...

    I'm so glad that there are so many good tutorials out there. Working my way up in Neofly 4 - I will make the C license and rent (not enough cash to buy it ) a turbo prop. Will probably stick with the TBM 930 then for a while, after some nice flights in the modded DA62 and mastering the G1000 and IFR/Rnav/ILS etc. (nice plane, but slowwww for making proper money)

      The TBM is fantastic since they updated it, make sure to check out my updated guide for it here: ruclips.net/video/XwN_wGq2nts/видео.html

    I love this airplane and never flew one but did sit in a TBM 940 that belonged to a Nascar driver. Great airplanes though. Nice reverse thrust shortcut tip. I didn't even know that one.

    I really enjoy tutos for fs2020 even in english. Please continue. To help improving I may suggest that, at around 13:15 I would certainly have appreciated an arrow pointing at the purple mark near the wind speed ribbon as it wasn’t that easy to see while you where talking about.

      Great point, I usually do use the arrow to point things out but I forgot it this time.

    Make sure you're using modded and improved TBM 930, together with Working Title G3000 mod. These two mods make the default TBM soooo much better to fly.

    So there's no prop pitch in these things? I spent my whole first flight looking for the prop lever. Never did find one. Good video! Thanks!

      In the 930 the RPM control is completely automatic. The 850 has the prop control.

    how do you know/ control the pct of engine power?

    • @FlightSimSchool
      @FlightSimSchool  2 года назад

      Power is controlled by the throttle. I learned by experimenting with this airplane, but generally you'll need full power on takeoff, slightly less than full on climb, same for cruise, and very little power on descent and whatever is needed to land.

    What type of controller are you using in your videos. I am considering getting a joystick.

      I recommend the t flight Hotas (if you can find it), or the Logitech 3D extreme for starters. I have a video coming out this Wednesday on how I configure them.

      Honeycomb alpha all the way, it’s a yoke though… so for the TBM and other aircrafts it’s perfect.

  • @honeybadger9425
    @honeybadger9425 2 года назад

    Yes TBM is a bit of a beast you have to watch your air speed alot more than in the smaller prop planes or it will sink like a stone if you stall it. That will catch alot of people out you need to be giving it beans all the time go under 75% throttle and your doomed 🤣
