    Too much government spending

And yet the median salaried American is still in dire straits. Wonder where all that government-printed money went. Mnuchin should check his pockets and implore Congress to tax him in order to work down the national debt. Of course he won't because he's a blatant two-faced liar just like the Democrats and the Republicans.

It's more nuanced than that. It's government spending financed by money printing that causes inflation.

And yet the median salaried American is still in dire straits in these economies. Wonder where all that government-printed money went. Mnuchin should check his pockets and implore Congress to tax him more in order to work down the national debt. Of course he won't because he's a blatant two-faced liar just like the Democrats and the Republicans protecting their donors.

Let's pretend like the supply chain issues had no impact. Let's pretend those were all government's fault. /s

@@rogergeyer9851the supply issue was a problem in the middle of the pandemic and not now. Historically, corporations usually don’t decrease prices after a crisis subdues and this is the cases. They inflated the prices because of supply chain, but didn’t bother to bring it down because why would they when they’re making record profits since Covid times.

@@MB-we4dxnot to mention that supply chain issues still were caused by the government due to lockdowns they mandated.

Sadly, "reading the news" (when news used to be CREDIBLE instead of about selling soap and making political statements) went away with the Walter Chronkite era. And we're much worse off for that.
And that goes for ALL forms of media, not just TV.

"There is a standard price of gold, so when I pay you money, it must be, carry the value in gold. That's all. Then there is no inflation. The people want to be cheated, and people cheat. That's all."

Looking at the rest of the world is like someone with $40000 in California thinking they are doing better than another with $30000 in Idaho. By the way, some of these rest of the world doing worse have free healthcare and birth rates are high.

I live in central KY. I worked in mainframe I/T at IBM. Comparing notes with various supplier employees working in LA, we were better off than them financially, with them making TWICE our salary.
And that's just financially, considering things like taxes and housing costs. THEN you consider quality of life issues like a 10 minute vs. 90 minute commute, etc, and there was just no comparison. This was over a couple decades as prices rose, and the results were consistent re the big picture.
