I love the expanded lore of Predator 2. Completely different environment, incredible protagonist work, awesome new team of heros and the elaborated new Predator really makes me happy. Such a beautiful design job from Stan Winston's team.
I honestly love the movie too!
I so wish Hot Toys would revisit their Predator line. Over the years they have made some amazing Predator figures from Predator, Predator 2,AVP etc.This version of the City Hunter looks great although the dreadlocks are a little bit too short and the City Hunter Predator has a different looking crown to the head but saying that he looks incredible, what a beast! Thank you for sharing Justin.

@@jeppeboe96 Yes, i think i remember Hot Toys showcasing the prototype, its a shame that the film was not very well received but saying that with Prey doing well you never know Hot Toys may go ahead and start making new Predator figures. Fingers crossed.

I honestly find Predator 2 very underrated. It has flaws, sure, but I find it very enjoyable. I wouldn't say it's better than the 1987 original nor the 2010 3rd installment but it's far from being awful.

I think its the 2nd best. Its perfect at being an over the top movie.
I don't have any problems with it. I love the story and the setting. Characters are awesome!
I love Predator 2. People can blow smoke up Prey's ass all they want to, it's their opinion, I get it. But for me personally, Predator 2 is the second best film after the original and it's not for a lack of trying. It's still the boldest and most innovative of all the Predator sequels. As I have mentioned in Cody Leach's review of Prey, without Predator 2, many of the ideas that were used in other Predator movies (e.g., the Xenomorph existence, multiple Yautja's, and how long the creature's been coming to Earth) probably wouldn't have happened.
As far as I'm concerned, Predator 2's only error is that Danny Glover's team (not Danny Glover) is just not as cool or as interesting as Arnold's crew. When you have the likes of Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, Bill Duke, Sonny Landham, Richard Chavez, and of course Shane Black, you don't follow that up with Reuben Blades, Maria Conchita-Alonso, and Bill Paxton. May he rest in peace, but Bill Paxton was the weakest link in Predator 2. All he did was play Hudson from Aliens all over again, except this time it wasn't funny.
Other than that minor gripe, Predator 2 is the jam followed by Predators.

i would say predator hot toys are so underrated they are so great in person, i have 2 of them in my collection. the samurai and shadow. really great details and really nasty looking

I'd love to see a new predator. These still look great. Can only imagine inarts doing a two pack. Battle damaged Dutch and Battle damage predator (like the old neca set, but inarts quality)

I forgot how many accessories came with this figure! In today’s world this would be considered a DX figure (but not the special edition super combo with fries)!

I just watched Predator 2 last night in preperation for Prey..if you were asking about the height comparison, i think its inaccurate, it was performed by the same actor so technically height should be the same.

From the moment I watched the movie I never had any issues with Predator 2. I think it’s a very worthy sequel to the original with elements that bypass the first. I absolutely love the City Hunter and his design is my favorite of any Predator; the gritty bronze, skin color, weapons, unique face, and his mask are all fantastic.
The Jungle Hunter will always be my favorite Yautja but City hunter is always right next to him followed by Wolf, Scar, and the Golden Angel.
I loved the movie!

Great video as always! In regards to the height question in predator and predator 2 respectively, the late Kevin Peter Hall played both roles and came in at a natural 7' 2". He was an absolute beast.

BTW yes the City Hunter is slightly taller than Jungle Hunter, he's closer to 8 feet, another random fact; he's 300 years old, more or less, (they found his lost arm in an LA alleyway and dated it) but he's confirmed younger than JH

Just one detail: when you get to the Predators movie, please get all 3 super preds (Falconer, Tracker and Berserker). Their design are very unique. And, btw: technically the classic Predator you have is from this movie as well hehehe

I have over 30 Hot Toys Predators. Once they had worked out the standard 2.0 bodies, Hot Toys should have gone deep into the Predator line like NECA did. So much potential.

Yeah the wire is just kinda taped to the inside of the helmet and I think it’s very fragile. It worked a couple of times for me but disconnect it a couple of times to remove the mask and it stopped working.
I started collecting all the HT Predator figures but stopped and sold most of them after I realized that many of them have the pleather issue. The pleather just flaked and fell off, even on new, previously unopened Predator figures. It's a shame as I was so excited to collect them all. Kept Celtic Predator, though.
Oh which parts had issues?
@@JustinsCollection pretty much all the pleather parts. The straps across the chests / mid-sections and around arms, the buttocks hide (for lack of better term), the Tracker Predator hound's leash. Etcetera.
I replaced some of it with real leather, which worked well, but I got tired of the upkeep. Shouldn't have to modify these things when you pay so much for them.

I think the City Predator is slightly taller than the Jungle Predator due to having a taller head. Other than that they would be basically the same size. Given both of them were performed by actor Kevin Peter Hall.

City Hunter Predator is my favorite Predator but I'm very disappointed at how inaccurate Hot Toys City Hunter Predator is. His face & mask & plasma cannon are inaccurate and way off. Also, his wristblade is way too curved. I really hope Hot Toys releases a Version 3.0 City Hunter Predator in the future soon.

they should both be the same height and scale. the actor who plays the jungle hunter also played the city hunter. however i’m not sure which one would be more accurate to the actual height or scale to his actual height, as kevin peter hall stood at 7”3.

the actor inside the predator is the same one on both movies, so if the head is bigger on the city hunter, he would be bigger on scale.

I'm not too keen on the breathing mask, let alone 2 of them. It makes an appearance for maybe 1 minute in the movie. They could have included other accessories in their place.

City Hunter is 7’8 (2.33 m) and the Jungle Hunter is 7’2 (2.2 m), but the jungle hunter has a wider chest.

Hope you pick up the berserk predator from 2010 and the movie was awful but the berserk is my favorite design and I also hope you get started on some xenomorph from the alien franchise.
