- I wanted to share with you my recent remastering. I’ve worked hard to maintain the essence of the original 1986 version, but I’ve also added some extra harmonies and combined the original vocals with those from the current remake. Tried to keep the authenticity of the original while giving it a modern touch.
Vocals: Original from 1986 and current from the remake.
Harmonies: New layers added to enrich the sound.

This one sounds really clean and voice is just right. But you know, we’re already used to that VHS vibe version so it will always feel that something’s subtle missing you can’t simply catch. But I’d say this ver is REAL good one.

it’s honestly getting real annoying hearing someone say “this is the best version of the 86 version, the best one yet” and all they do is use macintozhs instrumental (which is very good im ngl) and ai isolated vocals but this one is the best one so far the vocals were done very well

I wish they was able to find the original vocals for the song but other than that this version is the best tbh.
I feel horrible for nagging every imperfection, but if that orchestra hit were from the 1986 cut, it would be literally perfect
edit: came back later and found this again, thought i didnt hear it, and noticed that the vocals acrually hit the right notes?? and background vocals, this is amazing

Honestly.. really good job with this.. This is what I originally envisioned the Booth Brothers' remaster to sound like in my head when they first announced it.
Just like technomanuel said, try and see if the orch hits could be replaced with the original ones and it would be perfect!
I really like the added harmonies, it makes the vocals sound more fuller, and if AI wasn't mentioned, i'd think that this was Chris' original vocals. The only thing I noticed is that the singing around the 2:02 mark is a bit off, pitch-wise.

Sounds remarkably good for a fan remaster! Sounds a bit autotune-y in only a few parts (which is to be expected with using AI) but overall very accurate!
