- Join me for a British Wildlife weekend as I explore some of the wildlife and habitats of the eastern UK. Expect rare birds, lifetime firsts and a terrible sense of humour you might not find funny!

What a wonderful tour you have just given us. it was great to see the wildlife. I would certainly like to see more like this.
what an awesome adventure. i am glad i have people such as yourself to watch and go on adventures with, i am a nature nerd stuck with no garden, and only managing to get somewhere amongst nature a couple of times a year. i have no parks near me, and nothing i can get to easily, so watching your channel helps me feel close to the nature that i love so much.
on the positive side, i do have window bird feeders, but they go through spells of not coming, - especially if its too hot, like when we had the heat waves.

I've seen a kestrel rob an owl in mid flight and seen them teaching their young to hunt on the Lincolnshire Fens. We have buzzards and red kites too it's generally crap for song birds because of the farming but water birds do well here.
Awesome video, I love the grass snake art at 21:41. Beautiful birds in this video. It's so good to know, that the numbers of some of the bird populations are increasing.
Gives me hope for the future of UK 'wild' life, it is many humans that have a wild nature.

Deeping Lakes is in Lincolnshire, Deeping st James, follow the river back towards the village for more wildlife psst there are otters. Also Frampton extends across the road into the farmland where you can sometimes see Merlin. You can get into Dole wood. It's a small but pretty nature reserve but you might prefer Bourne Woods. Also it's worth visiting Vine House Farm nearby, the farmer does all sorts of stuff to encourage wildlife. There are barn owls & marsh harriers very nearby to that camp sight.
Do not worry about your photography skills Liam, we all enjoy your videos and commentary. Keep on doing these videos!!!

This was worth the wait. I enjoyed your nature reserve trip. Thank you for sharing. I think the only other thing I was hoping for was that there would be some underwater shots, but oh well, maybe next time. Some of the terms you use aren’t familiar to me being I’m in the US, so I had to stop the video to look a few things up. Looks like you had a really nice vacation. It’s interesting getting to see so much of England. Thanks again for sharing your trip with all of us. Good job!

Fantastic! Loved going on this adventure with you! What wonderful places there are to explore in the UK - thank you for showing us these parks and nature reserves and where they are on the map. Poor little squirrel over-heating - that made me smile. Love the plovers - we have so many different species of them in Zambia where I grew up (one of the best countries in the world for birding Liam - if you ever get a chance to go:))

❤️ watching this whilst eating my porridge 🥣 & 🫖. Very relaxing. 1st I saw a little egret was just outside Morecambe & up a bit. I was in the 🚗 with hubby during a caravan holiday in Morecambe . Was disturbed by a 👩🏻 letting her German Shepard off the leash. I was rather 😠. I’ve seen one 14miles away from my town of Stevenston to the North Ayrshire town of Largs. It was so beautiful 😻. 👍🏻 video. Have a nice 😊 week

Thank you for this wonderful adventure. I'm fascinated by the Fens. Thanks for mentioning wheelchair accessible hides. My father, who was wheelchair bound, was recorded back in the 80s using a new hide, for Does He Take Sugar (which incidentally was presented by a guy from Norwich). Is it known why the rabbit population has dropped so acutely? Ah yes - I also saw my first hummingbird hawkmoth this summer! Thanks again Liam

I really enjoyed this video. Yes ... PLEASE do more of these wildlife adventures. Thank you for putting these videos together. I have learnt so much from them and find them absolutely inspirational. I am a total beginner when it comes to being able to recognise birds. As for Frampton Marsh, this is only a few miles from me and I visit every now and again. I must take my camera with me next time I go there. It's an absolute gem for bird spotters.

I suppose we don’t really realise how much time you put in the field to get the footage not only that the research you do to educate us. Terrific Liam. Really enjoyed that, even though I've had to watch it in a few instalments due to being so busy with all and sundry at the moment. I do like your relaxed and slightly quirky (at times) narration and pieces to camera. Interesting to see that you visited Deeping Lakes. My Mum spent a fair bit of her childhood in the Market Deeping / Deeping St. James area. I've only visited the area once some years back for the funeral of an elderly spinster relative at the Priory Church of St. James in Deeping St. James. 👍👍👍

I didnt mention in the video but the island at deeping lakes has a colony of long eared owls in the winter so I will be going back in due course! Interesting to hear of your family connection to the area, its a beautiful spot!

This was an amazingly good watch! Gosh, you did a lot of walking but you saw lots of lovely wildlife on the whole, to make it worth it. Looks a wonderful area. I have just watched this video as the rain pours down, the lightning flashes, and the thunder booms, here in south Dorset. Already I have forgotten what those long hot summer days were like!! Autumn is upon us! Thanks for a great video and for taking us along with you on your trip. Really enjoyed it all. 💯👍🙏

And here in the usa, I've only ever seen pigeons in cities. Never even seen one in a suburb.
Another great video. I’m fortunate enough to live opposite a similar type location here in Western Aust. Many different and similar wetlands and woodland birds to be seen on our daily walks. Blessed!

Some great shots of wildlife. I'm so jealous you saw a few green woodpeckers. I'd love to see some but never have, but great to see them on here. I liked seeing pied wagtails too, don't often see them in nature areas near me, but they are cute the way they scurry around on their tiny legs. Really cool to see spoonbills too, watching them forage with their huge bill is a great sight- is that RSPB site one of the best places to see them, or were you just lucky that day?

Aaron this suburb, I have seen egrets and oh I forget the name of the other bird. It's a heron. And we actually had a heron in our backyard eating the fish in our pond.

Head out to the west country bud, before it's too chilly. Slimbridge is a great wetlands reserve. Saw two pairs of common cranes and some cattle egret recently and many acrobatic choughs and a few porpoise down on the coast. Loooking forward to your next trip.

Yes I enjoyed the style of video very much. It takes a lot of work to put together... thank you. I appreciate the maps, campsites, car parks, and locations being included. Just a suggestion, I think you could possibly have split it into a 2 or 3 part series. Although, it was quite relaxing to watch a long video.

Good morning, love your videos. What a gorgeous place, it looks so peaceful. I dont mind cows (I wouldn't have gone through there though), but sheep really give me the willies for some reason. I had a juvenile Sparrowhawk take a sparrow in the garden a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing to see, best regards.

This is an amazing country but so are all the others in our nation. When I was young egrets and spoonbills were exotic creatures and lapwings were two a penny. If there’s one bird that shows how careful we should be with our waste it’s the moorhen, I've lost count in the amount of nests I’ve seen decorated with plastic bags. My wife and I once saw 7 kestrels in a field near Martin Mere.
I like dunlins, you can get really close and they seems so busy going about their business. The avocet came here during WWII when they flooded Minsmere.
We all like to see the rarities but I’m not a lover of twitching.
Bird flu isn't good at all, that was sad to see.
Unfortunately Frampton doesn’t look too disability friendly, which is a tad annoying when you consider a massive portion of RSPB membership are either elderly or have disabilities.
Ill informed animal activists and very poor breeders have caused a lot of damage with the released mink. Yes it it wrong to breed an animal in awful conditions just for its coat, but theirs areas where the released mink have decimated out wildlife.
This is your best video yet in my opinion, and that’s saying something. Congrats on the moth.

It depends which bit you mean, at the beginning I drove west as I live in norwich.
Wildlife parks? Watching narrowboat vlogs, the cuts and "rivers" over centuries, have been made unnatural by greed. Mention the railway being built cutting through history from pre dinosaur age to Roman villages, to medieval, and nature reserves
