Again I need to compliment you on your playing. Your style is hypnotic and worth emulating. You take clawhammer to a whole new level for me, and I look forward to learning your tunes. So much more than bum-ditty. IMO It's groundbreaking. Thank you.
Wow!!! I hear so much mediocre banjo on RUclips. This is wonderful. Trance inducing. I love the mood change around 1:15 Thanks for this. Soothing AND inspiring.
Hi Steve. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, love your playing too mate (Bonny Crossing The Alps on that Banjo Gathering CD especially nice). I was probably looking at tab yes. Many of these tunes I sell tab for so I try and keep at least one go round of the tune pretty close to the tab so folk know what they're getting.
@@michaelstarkeybanjoandguit5443 hi Michael, thank you for the kind words. Ah, yes, that makes sense, if you’re selling tab, you don’t want to depart too much for him at the first time through, or people will complain. I can probably listen to your version 40 times since I found out last night. Trying to work it out on fretless Gourd Banjo. Thanks for your lovely playing.
Hi Michael, really enjoying these last few slowly paced tunes. They sound especially nice on the gourd. Are you in sawmill tuned down here? And who made that gourd?
Fantastic! By far my favorite version of this tune.
Aw that's lovely to hear, thanks @lifelikewater3535!

What a lovely comment to receive @bodurango. It's really motivating to get this kind of feedback, thankyou.
Awesome!
Many thanks Russ.
Sounds Great!
Cheers mate.
One of my favorite RUclips banjo players! he has such a unique feel. I've also bought some of his transcriptions.
Thanks @user-bu9vy7bn9f, I really appreciate your comment.
Absolutely beautiful, as usual!
Aw cheers Tommy. Happy 2024 to you.
Beautiful modal tune played beautifully on a beautiful gourd banjo (pardon the repeated use of the word but it just fits)
Why thankyou Martin. I certainly don't have a problem with the repeated use of the word! Cheers.

Great. Can listen all day. Novice to banjo. Is this standard tuning or...?
Hi Jimmie. Sorry I must've missed your question. It's Sawmill tuning (gDGCD) equivalent but a bit lower because it's on the gourd.
I’m loving this and I’m learning your version. I’m just curious, you seem to be reading from some thing. Are you reading tab?

@@zenbanjo2533 Would love to hear your take on it when you've got it figured!

Thanks Ben, glad to hear it. It's a Romero gourd banjo and yes, sawmill tuned down. The gourd doesn't seem to like being up at standard pitch.
