At the time.. when Nas said "imagine smokin weed in the streets without cops harrassing"
I really felt that.
Mm you can smoke weed in NY..
@@xMaxLoverx1 at that time, you couldn't. Hence... imagine. Twas nothing but a day dream. Something we would talk about.

When I was around 8 to 10 years old, my older brother kept listening to rap music. I did not understand a word because I didnt speak english at this time, but I liked the beats and everything was so cool, of course because I admired my older brother. Everytime when he was at home, music was on and I was sitting there, nodding with my head (like him) ;) man... I wish german rap would have this kind of style.

I call him the composer. God has blessed America.
Man ..Nas' lyricism is som' else...period.
First Nas song I ever heard . 17 years old in 1996 and I've been hooked on Nas since then . "If I Ruled The World" we'd still have this kinda Hip Hop
#IfIRuledTheWorld #FreeWORLD💖🌎🌍🌏 #NAS This Song🎶 Reminds mi of my Buddy Fernando King👑 a Half Black/Mexican Who Could DANCE! Taught mi 2 Dance! 👟 He committed Suicide when I was in #USMC ..He was supposed to go 2 Marines on Buddy Program with mi..💔 #FreeAfrica🌍🙌🏿💪🏿✊🏿💯🖤♠️🎼👸🏾👑
It was a very violent and dangerous time. The Creative and Genius Music from the Artists was being overlooked and sidelined by the Tabloid Fueled "East Coast vs. West Coast Rap Wars" Which was I think just as confusing to the Artists as the rest of the World. 2 Great Iconic Artists lost their lives but imo I don't think the murders were related but intended to look related.
Edit: and those who listened to his music the generation they spoke to,These Comgressional Committees thought that these men were bragging. 'Bragging, perhaps because they were disenfranchised for *generations* and the Streets started speaking
I'm just a white girl from the South these are all just...just opinions from the Outside Looking In..., I will never understand what they went through but I sure as fuck will listen to their Art and what they have to say.
First Nas Song I ever heard . 13 years old in 2016 and I’ve been hooked on heroin since then . “If I Ruled The World” we’d still have this kinda Hip Hop
We do still have this kind of Hip Hop. It's right here :) Honestly, I love how we can conserve art, and how the tec to replay it has become ever smaller and more convenient. Great times wherever you go :)
