A nice tip for hitting a reverse is to make 4 x a 90 degree angle. One with your right leg, one with your left leg, one is the angle which you hit the ball with your stick, and the last one is the direction the ball is going after you hit it. All 90 degree angles.

Don't use your feet when you are on the field. Focus more on stick skills and body positioning also be aware of all surroundings not just what's in front of you. As a keeper try rely more on the feet and less on the stick for ground balls. (Only use the stick for ground balls when diving or absolutely necessary"
