Thanks for this idea.. I live and Connecticut and today we’re getting 10-12 inches of snow I saw ur video yesterday and ran to Home Depot got it done in less than a half hour.. wake up today and all the snow has slowly been falling off by itself.. works flawlessly thank you

Great solution! Now we won’t have to replace the boat cover again so quickly after buying it!

More boat videos please! I am looking to buy a boat and have not much experience with anything much larger than a kayak.

Even the cover that cam with our boat will pool in the bow section unless you put a seat in and raise the back rest. We would have to install the seat every time we covered it because we dont take the 3rd seat with us fishing to give more room. I was thinking of doing something similar to this! We can get the boat in the garage but it is extremely tight!

I had it set up through a week long rain storm before making the video and it worked great. Thought I'd pass along the info. Wanted something easy to pop in and out and had most of the material laying around. Win win!

This is what I’m looking for!!. I got 4 single adjustable aluminum boat cover poles for my pontoon. They don’t work, they tip over and collapses leaving water pool traps.
Was your pvc schedule 40 or thin wall s&d pipe? And did you glue your joints? What size pipe diameter?

40 but I’m sure either would work fine. I’m using inch and a quarter and I haven’t glued yet but will at some point

Wondering if you glued all pvc joints or not?

Upside down Rubbermaid garbage can hold the boat cover up and keep water out

So whats the diameter of the pvc in use here?

that cover is too small for the tall supports you used

For $100+ dollars I figured the poles would be s great addition... NOPE! The straps are worthless and have a nightmare of rigging holding everything up... PVC stands it is!
