I am a Ghanaian. We are always crying to our leaders to forget about these colonial masters, and help patronise our local product, which is the only way to keep us away from borrowing. God has bless our own land Ghana.
Thanks for the video showcasing Ghana. Dr Thomas Mensah who invented the optic fiber internet speed graduated from MIT in the U.S.A but started his university education in Kumasi tech in Ghana and today the world is enjoying what he did. I hope all these inventions will be improved on to make Africa a better place for all of us.
Plastic is very combustible and could easily ignite with a minimal heat or fire, l am a bit skeptical about its use as the main material in a building’s structure . I could be wrong ! 😑
When the plastic bricks are made, they are mixed with sand. They are safe in terms of fire, because the high percentage of the sand makes the product fire retardant. It’s not easy for these bricks to just get burnt. The bricks are designed in such a way that there is a groove in the middle of the brick that heat from outside to penetrate into the inner part of the room and also maintain the temperature of the inner part of the bricks
Most of the cars shown here are actually rebadged Chinese cars sold as locally manufactured. Same thing is happening in Nigeria and other West African countries. The blue pickup for example is also sold in Nigeria as a Nigeria-made car called the Innoson Granite. Its real name is ZX Terralord, made in China. The small red hatchback at the start of the video is the BAIC X25, another Chinese car assembled in South Africa until recently. Again, not made in Ghana or West Africa. I'm for the development of Africa, but it'd be nice if we were honest about it. Badge engineering is common in the auto industry, but this is straight up false advertising.
