Why have two huge egos in one team which could possibly ruin team balance and only one can eventually win the championship. When ferrari if they're thinking sensibly can keep kimi who btw is 3rd in the standings and earning them good points while not causing any sort of drama. He may not win championships anymore and he shouldn't he's 38 but yet he is 3rd in the standings.

What i find much more interesting is how a lot of people will write stuff like "max his car was damaged". Makes me wonder if theres something in dutch grammar that would lead to that sort of construction :D

I don't think Kimi hasn't not gotten along with his teammates. From Coulthard to Seb, he's always been cordial with them all. I guess that's purely because he's always been better than his teammates, except for in 2008 and from 2014 till now, he's accepted the role. A pure team man.
A man with very few words. Kimi needs a teammate who is willing to initiate interaction with him. I remember Grosjean saying that the the first time Kimi spoke to him was over a year after they've been working together... when Kimi congratulated Grosjean on his baby.

La Gazzetta (Italys biggest motorsport magazine) wrote today that Leclerc is replacing Kimi for next season. :(
there are quite alot of sources stating that but in reality they are not sure. There are rumors that a contract was signed with Leclerc before the death of the former Ferrari boss but that has not been confirmed yet. It is still possible that Kimi might race next year as it is rumored that Maurizio Arivabene has the say who is going to race next year and he is in favor of Kimi.

Cool to hear from different sources how good Kimi is with car setups and feedback. Lewis said last week that his first 2006 F1 test in a mclaren was with kimi's setup/preferences and he said it was amazing to drive. And now Vettel says that if he gets lost with setting up the car (which is easy, to go to wrong direction and lose the plot), he can always rely on copying Kimi's setup.

I'm not a blind fan, I enjoy vettel for his character, simple as that, and have liked the ferrari drivers for a long time for the same reason. Alonso, kimi and massa all have lovely personalities. I find Lewis to be a bit over the top with the flash and the bling and the #blessed bullshit, of which his latest add is representative, you wouldn't see Vettel do anything like that. But that's just my personal taste, to each his own I guess.

Imo ferrari are better in their strategies this year. They fucked up on a few ocasions. But mercedes did worse this year. both teams won races by strategy (australia and bahrain for ferrari) and not by ontrack overtaking.

Andreas Kounnas both Bottas and Kimi have been held back by their team. They both get shafted by the system to favour Lewis and Seb

charles is an amazing driver but definitely seems to come across as having those characteristics they were mentioning as negatives in terms of being in a team.. but anyways forza ferrari but will keep cheering for these 2 as well.
i think kimi was a kind of a inspiration for Vettel wacthing kimi racing when he started in 2001 and specially in the mclaren seat, i really admire this mutuo respect between them, cause we don't see this kinda thing easily even with hamilton or some other driver nowadays...

I like Leclerc and he's got great potential but we want our Kimi for the next two years...there's only one Iceman and you don't get rid of him because a dead president wants Leclerc. ..he's to young put him in the Haas of Grosjean, who never deserved a place in F1 anyway.

They have a lovely tuning together. Ferrari would be well advised to continue to reap the synergies between both of them. LeClerc is a brilliant, brilliant prospect in the scarlet red car - but they've got to give the Iceman one more run in 2019.

The guys back at Ferrari’s factory are definitely doing outstanding work, both on the chassis and the power unit. It’s just a shame that their track side team doesn’t live up to the same calibre.
They do NOT have similar driving styles. Kimi likes a loose rear/strong front end on entry, Vettel likes a PLANTED rear. Kimi really just didn't force the issue at Ferrari.

Here's how I read people and the F1 grid. If I were having a BBQ and invited everyone. The majority of the low to mid section would show up, mingle, eat and drink.
Kimmi would hang out at the grill with you and shoot the breeze pretty much all night only ducking around the side to pee on the garage wall until he decides to do fire walking drunk as a skunk stepping on two hot coals before being dragged off by others. He's also smoked half of your packet of cigarettes and lost your lighter.
Seb would mingle, eat and stop drinking around 11pm to wake up early and go cycling. He'd go around questioning drunk people in sarcasm to get them to reveal embarrassing things while judging them with his partner and a smirk.
Lewis would show up late, in a rowdy car and make a fuss about parking it on the road. He'd be dressed to the 9s and be staring at his phone until he realises no one cares and he'd tell everyone he's flying to Barbados with Justin Beaver.
Nico would rock up, have a glass of wine, sit with his family inside and leave without eating after an hour to not seem rude. He'd also bring a present.
Valteri would be trying to compose himself until a few hours later he's doing shots in the garage and surrounded by strangers in admiration.
Alonso would be with Perez discussing the satisfaction of building your own deck and doing landscaping.
At 1am Lewis will show up again with Beaver and a Kardashian or two, find a spot on the couch after introducing everyone and proceed to get hammered, open up too much, talk about fighting and then cry before falling asleep with his pals in a spare room.
Max would be nibbling on salt and vinegar chips because he doesn't eat anything that isn't boiled potato's. He'd be doing his best to act mature and not drink himself into a juvenile slurry and do a good job at it mostly. He'd approach Daniel throughout the night about the hot chick he's too afraid to talk to.
Daniel will spend the night talking about and answering Australian questions and how many snakes he's seen and how Lewis keeps texting him all of a sudden even though he's 4 feet away.

Ferrari should keep Kimi for another 2-3 years. He gets along well with Seb which is very good for the team overall.

Abhishek Dantale true, but despite that he has still always been very hard teammate to beat.....only Ricciardo really managed to do that in 2014. Seb I think is not at same level as Lewis, but Its definitely been hard for Kimi to beat him, especially because Vettel usually is faster on quali and thus he usually gets the advantage for race as well
Balnazzardi man I’m a seb fan , it just hurts to see all these off days man. Seb was scrappy in monza in all the sessions. Ultimately its what hurted him the most.
