Found it strange you felt the need to explain that there are different jumpseat rules to the USA? The are over 250 countries in the world with many having their own aviation authorities that set the rules for their jurisdiction. The USA's rules only apply as far as their airspace and on aircraft registered with their own aviation authority (the FAA) or am I missing something?

A little typo in the title. Should be Tromsø, of course. :)

Any idea why Dash 8 Pilot Monitoring keep the hands below the throttle & below the PF's hand during the approach and landing? Is it to prevent accidental throttle reverse?

    Why are they so quiet?

If the rules are the same like in North America then they maintain a sterile cockpit, or no unnecessary communication between each other below 10,000 ft.. Of course, there are some pilots that are just not the chatty type even above 10,000’.

@@KeepingOnTheWatch, looking at flighradar24, these Widerøe flights between Lakselv, Honningsvåg, Hammerfest and Tromsø barely go above 10,000 ft.

@@mustangmkiv8533 i know that's for some reason is the best part for me before i fully knew how these propellers work i found out the gas turbine is still running even after the feathering of the props on low idle then fuel cutoff im just super fascinated by how they operate
