Thanks so much for subscribing. The technical videos can be more challenging to film but the feedback encourages us in this venture

Hi there. Just recently bought a Nugget Plus and been away in it for the first time. Not sure about what needs to be on/off when your travelling. For example can the gas be left turned on at cylinder and switch over duration or should it be turned off after each use(which is what I did) ? Also should the electrics be turned off when you're not away camping or can that be left on? Would be grateful for answers to these and any other do/don'ts when out camping. Many thanks. Pete

Thank you, good video. Have you guys consider solar panels on the roof to keep the aux battery charged?

Hi Wayne, thanks for watching. We haven't looked at this yet, but it might be something we'd do in the future.

Wow! So detailed and informative! 👏🏻Got some questions: Can you use 220V plugs while running on battery? Does the Audio System consume from the auxiliary battery or the starter battery when the engine is off? Does the Audio System run on 220V Power when the Nugget is plugged to the grid?

Thanks for the feedback and great questions. The 230v sockets only work when attached to the mains via an electric hook up. They do not work on the battery. As for the audio system it works when the engine is off in much the same way as in a car. I assume it draws power from the starter batteries as it works when the master switch is off. Technically both the starter and axillary batteries are charged when the 230v hook up is connected so I guess in a round about way they are. I am not an expert and it maybe worth checking with your Ford dealer if you need a fully accurate answer, this is just my understanding. Due to great feedback I will be releasing an electrical system update video soon so look out for this.

Very comprehensive, well done. A small point to note is that when plugged into the mains the cable should be fully unwound. Even a few coils will act as a heater if you draw a reasonable current and increase the risk of fire in the coil.

Absolutely- thanks so much Richard for highlighting this important point.

Does anyone know of a map or anything on the internet where I can find charging points for the leisure battery on the road?
    Thanks

I have a question for you. Have you slept up in the top bunk yet? And if so how did you find it temperature wise? I only ask because my wife and I want to buy one but she has the blood of a lizard and could quite happily sleep under a 10 tog duvet in the midday Saharan sun!! Have you, or can you sleep up there with the heater going all night?
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos, they’re brilliant.
    Kind regards T👍

Hi Tony thanks for your question. We (the adults) have not yet had a chance to go away without the children and thus have not slept up top yet. Having said this the children have slept well on all occasions thus far. On colder nights we preprogramme the heater to come on and off three times. On one night the temperature outside dropped to -2 degrees. My wife is strongly hinting for her imminent birthday present which is a novel sleeping solution she has seen. We will keep these vlogs updated if we get hold of one and it may help your wife’s situation. There are other ways and products to insulate the pop up roof if required but is not an area we have needed to explore yet.

@@SilverNuggetAdventure Hi. Thank you for your quick response, much appreciated. I would be interested to know what the “novel sleeping solution” is. I might have to buy my Mrs one just to keep the van purchase on track! Thanks again mate. Tony 😊👍

Hi Tony, we have just released a vlog on the 'Product Playlist' - not necessarily a 'novel sleeping solution' , but for us this has been a game changer. So comfortable and warm. We went for the 10.5 tog version and no regrets.

Hello gang. I’ve just seen your video regarding Nugget production issues. You mentioned checking a particular website for more info. I would look it up online but I am not having much luck because, no matter what I type into Google, my version of spelling Dye-t-may is drawing a blank. Cheers. Tony
