Heres my theory-
So you know how the avatar inventory is called "Mask of ghoulish despair"? I think its because the infected saw that face once when they weren't infected and its kinda like tio cuz maybe the ghoul was desperate for the people to join them and they got afraid by it but tio was different he wasnt that scary but the ghoul can remain in the infecteds head cuz of how frightened they were before and never expected ever again cuz yk they were infected they only had one chance of joining. Thats my theory
