YES - Another Nickel Hunt Video, BUT I had too!
Roll Hunting Nickels in search of the usual awesome finds - Buffalo Nickels, Liberty V Nickels, Silver Wartime Nickels, old Jeffersons, Proof Coins, and of course, errors and varieties!
This box decided to give us some good finds and that's why we coin roll hunt nickels! I found a first for me - a coin I've waited forever to find on my own! I have now OFFICIALLY found all regular strike Jefferson Nickels and only need a handful of 90's proof nickels to complete the ALBUM! I also found what may be a 1955 D/S #1!

I'll be hunting for Old Jefferson Nickels (1938-1959), Silver Wartime Nickels (1942-1945), Buffalo Nickels (1913-1938), Liberty V Nickels, cool foreign coins, tokens, and any error or variety nickels that I can spot!
When I hunt Nickels I don't just search for the regular obvious valued ones. I look for double dies, error coins, and other variety coins that could be hidden in the rolls. As you know - it's rare to find a super key date for any coin in circulation, so your best bet is to familiarize yourself with the error and variety coins as those are normally not as easily spotted and you can still find some GREAT FINDS out there.

Thanks William - I think so too but always some uncertainty when there's flattening and wear...
I concur. The D shapes are consistent between the example and the actual, so the protrusions are likely to be the underlying S, which is centered a bit to the left of the D's center.

as a person that is getting into coin hunting mainly because I stumbled across your channel do you have or or can you point me in the right direction to a spreadsheet of key coins I should be looking for when I'm coin hunting. What got me hooked is I found a 1943 war nickle in my change from a gas station today. I walked back in and asked if he would sell me 2 rolls of pennies and found 2 1937 wheaties. Man I'm hooked now!

I know I’m late to this party but that’s definitely a 55D/S. I’ve looked at least a hundred 1955D & I’ve never found any that looked anything close to that. Also amazing find on the 50D Rob! I found one at work but it was circulated, probably about VF.

Congratulations on your finds buddy😎👍 as far as the "d"over "s"... It's hard to tell. I think it is, especially noticeable whenever you rotate the coin. Some dirt and wear obstructing the view.

It looks like it might be a #1 but at the same time, maybe not. You should try to take it in to a coin shop and see what they have to say.
