I haven't played on a Stomvi Bb, but did buy a Stomvi Elite Eb/D. I wanted a Schilke (like a lot of people) but was attracted to the Stomvi's lower price. I found the Stomvi to be quite the equal of the Schilke. VERY impressed. I think more people should be considering Stomvi trumpets.
You sound great on either! I've had an S3 BB for going on a year now and I love it. It's easier to play than any other trumpet I've played over the past 50 years. I've picked a couple of the Yamaha New York and LA models and they were also very, very nice. I think you are right and sometimes the difference, for the most part, just comes down to the price.
They have different sound profiles. I heard a very big difference. My preference is the Stomvi, but i'd need to know how they play with other horns and blend.
The Yamaha More crisp and open and in the lower register; especially below low C. . Everywhere else, the Stomvi seemed superior to me. I own two Stomvi's; a VR11 raptor lightweight and an elite, C Trumpet. My only beef with the VR2 is sometimes the low register is hard to focus and get crisp. But I mostly use it for function Band work so who cares about the lower register lol? I have an early Elkhart Bach 37 for Classical Music but I could certainly use Stomvi if I wanted to. I find that reverse pipe construction sometimes results and fuzzy articulation, but more flexibility. Anyway, thanks a lot for the video. Always fun to compare tools of the trade.

Ryan, I want to thank you for bringing these concerns to the fore. It's so difficult for the younger kids obtaining quality instruments.

For the arutunian i prefered the yamaha
Horn b, you sound great on both. Like the Stomvi best, more depth and center to the sound.
Very nice playing. You have a great sound. My vote goes to the Stomvi. I actually thought the pitches were centered better on the S3. JMO.
S3 is also better all around.

Which one was blind b? I preferred the sound of the horn especially in the upper register
Trumpet A was the Yamaha?
This is good, but it would be helpful to hear some jazz on it.
My guess is A: Yamaha B: Stomvi
Like to hear Stomvi Titan too
your pronunciation is $$$ sounds great
Yam.: A, Stom.: B
